The 58cc is 2.5lbs. Everything about it is more expensive than the 50cc. There is a saying in racing that "Racing is cheap but winning is expensive". The 58cc uses a reed valve, bigger carb, more complicated machining, high performance custom cylinder, piston, crankshaft that all add to the cost. BTW the crankshaft is the same forging we use in the 115. This 50cc is designed to give great performance at a very low cost. We realize that there are customers who just want a good dependable engine to fly their plane and doesnt take a house payment to buy one. Others want the lightest, fastest, most high performance thing they can buy regardless of cost.

RTK was a teenage hand model!

Hey RTK, now you're now on Keith's list, right behind Kris^....
Great looking engine, always wondered what a nice case would do for a G45

Based upon the hand photo, RTK has clearly changed genders from the time I saw him last. BME, I have his number too. You wanna give it out or shall I?

Now I remember Joe, you did makes some comments about a few pictures I took a year ago. These hands (as you can tell) are much nicer than mine Don't know whose they are though, might be someone related to Keith.
Thanks Joe Nice to be loved or something like that.

no numbers.. no nothing on the site (that is new atleast)

What gives here? If the engine is due out July 1 and the 58 right after why won't you share any rpm numbers? Pictures are pretty and all... but numbers are all most of us care about

Looks like imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...Check out the top of the 50cc cylinders...An exact copy of the lowly overweight underpowered boat anchor Zenoah G45...Made from a Red Max 45cc chainsaw...Been out for many years now..Any rpm numbers from the new 50s (CrrcPro, Copperhead Venom, Thor, BME, etc) can't be very far off from a G45, unless someone is doing some extracurricular activity on the inside of the cylinder....
I guess HYPE rules....
At least Keith is telling it like it is, his 50 is not quite as powerful as a DA or his old 50 and the Brillelli Echo version of the BME 50.....Cheaper, too...
Could be a little lighter with a CM6 spark plug....
Keith will see to it that his is lighter and least expensive....

You clearly have never seen the inside of RCIGN's shop. He has more engines there than quite a few manufacturers, in all shapes, types and sizes. I don't even want to think about the number of parts. Must have been hundreds of carbs, hubs, ignitions, and other stuff there. WOW is an understatement. It didn't take long to figure out it's a great place to send an engine in need of a check up. I think I'm gonna start calling him the engine doc.

Keith, did you ever make that call?

No worries, mate, I wasn't "leaning" on ya, just passin' along what I got to see when I was there a few days ago. I've learned your style and can read when you're funnin'. Truly I was quite impressed when I saw what I saw. Even more as we got to know each other and made conversation. The man's knowledge and talents are vast.

As for the carb and prop hub, He'll likely have the carb and can make the hub if he doesn't have it.

Hey Ralph, the fit, finish, and plating on this cylinder is probably better than Zenoah. Its one fine made cylinder. We will post rpms numbers when we are ready to. Still trying a couple different carbs. The main goal was to make this engine as solid running as any Zenoah, be light weight, low cost and come with battery ignition. If you can wear out the basic short block under normal operation as a model aircraft engine obviously excluding crash damage and customer abuse I will buy it back from you. Unless your looking for higher horespower and this engine is no slouch there is no reason to buy anything else. July 1st was supposed to have been August 1st. RTK and I had a miscommunication on that date. We just might let prepaid orders go for 299.00. Several muffler designs are being considered but the good old lowly Zenoah g45-g62 muffler will fit. I think we may add a 1-800 bat phone for orders only.

Probably my fault Keith, my memory stinks and the hearing is fading too.
I also missed the possible $299 intro price. Now that's a bargain!!

For a second there it was looking like "we" just found a source of free engines. Ya just had to go and specify model use, didn't ya?
