Need to bring this thread back for a very unique and kind of rare truck. I just picked one up this past week and will post pics as soon as I clean it up a little. Anyone know where to find original wheel and tires?

Those things where awesome trucks back in their day. They where kinda weird though. Kinda like a cross between a gold pan RC10 and a tamiya stadium blitzer. If I recall the chassis is aluminum correct? I haven't seen one in 10 years or longer.

Sent and received a message to Team Blue Groove in Canada about making a new re-popped body for this truck. Their response was they want to but have to have someone send them an uncut original. So...anyone out there have an new, uncut FXT body they are willing to send in? You'll get yours back, the rest of us will get one too. =)

Well it would be close. Unless you're a perfectionist like..me. The rear windows are racked more on the Futaba. Also the pronounced hood scoop, and it has wheel arch flares. Believe me I thought of this too.

Considering how similar the FX-10 and Stryker are, I'd say you're right. Perhaps Futaba in the early days wanted to get involved with cars before deciding to dedicate itself to electronics. I read somewhere on RC-10 talk someone else mentioning the truck was made by Tamiya for Futaba, we just don't know why.

Just found one of these on Ebay. Yes, I still loath Ebay, but??? Used set of tires and wheels is still available too. For anyone interested here are the links...

you know i didn't even notice it until LB pointed it out, but yeah that gear cap looks suspiciously like the one on my Brat. not sure if it's the same but it does look similar enough! and i agree, a lot of it looks like Tamiya tech.

Still need someone to send an uncut original to Team Blue Groove. Or I guess there is a member of RC10 talk by the screen name Mr. Lexan that makes bodies. I haven't looked for him yet. Not a member of the forum.

I reached out to Eric over at RC Car Action to see if he knew of anyone that could help knowing he's big into vintage. Plus he used my bearhawk in readers ride. Was hoping it would give him a reason because I'd submit it the mag .

Will do. I will cutting any body I let go. I paid big money and I'll be controlling the bodies I produce. IE I don't want anyone else making copies until I recoup the investment. After that I'd give them away .

Wow, I never knew futaba made a car, I always thought they were a esc and radio company. They should re-release that car, I probably buy one.
