Come visit us, Lee!! East coast of US is only a few hours away from UK!!
I think you got the advantage on ground clearance, as well as width and longer wheelbase (??)..
But we got dust shield and drivers..

Hey LB! Where did you get your Tb-01? I have the German Rally champion 99". I love this chassie. Im Going to order like 1 per month for the next 3 or for months, at $110.00 it can not be beat. I agree with you that the alloy motor mount is outragious , price including shipping is like $32.00. Here is what I plan to do , Im am going to only run the stock silver can motor with the smallest pinion gear.Since spare parts are not being made Im going to use this baby as a trail rc car, (not driving it to hard) in order to preserve the body. Im getting into rally rc cars, I even won a NIB Losi Rally Weapon which I am assembling as I write this.I paid like $132.00 including shipping. Go on youtube and do a search on rally rc cars and youll see videos of guy's running behind their Rally cars on a true to scale rc course, totally awsome rc action, I just discovered this type of rc racing like a week ago so be sure to look at these videos. I too also love the driver fig of the TB-01.

Looks like you need to get a TB-01 then.. ha! It comes w/ the upper dust shield and all the opening it has the "dust sponge" to prevent stuff from going in!!

Interesting that the older style touring car box is quite a bit bigger than the current Tamiya setup.. (TB-02 box next to it for comparison!)

Hey LB, ok for one the TB-01 has metal spur gears, real rally proven debris and dust cover and not to mention the steel drive shaft. And I beleive That it has thicker plastic C hubs and other suspension parts and it has the center chassie brace , all of these things make for a sturdier more ridged chassie.

I like the dust cover and dust sponge in the TB-01 rally.
The Cayenne has larger tires, more ground clearance, longer wheelbase (I think)..
Depends on how rough the area you run them in, I guess.. I am sure each one would have its pros and cons.. !!

I here you bro!![8D] I have both and I like them both. we had better stock up while we can. like you said earlier in this thread , (They just dont make them like this anymore , with driver fig) I plan on buying one per month for the next few months , thats if they last that long. Its sad that Rc companies dont build true rally racers like this , that is why I appriciate Tamiya so much .
