o that buggy start pissed me off every time i ran it / tryed 2 run it from the clutch to the elactronices every thing was going wrong and i mean every thing and i even took it 2 hoppy shops and every thing it just would not work right sad thing is i only tossed it maybe last mo lol then a week after that i started lookin at crewlers i donno i got the truck runin good now it grips like a **** alota power in the moter and nice flex going over stuff all and alll i am happy 2 say i am happy with the truck just wish i new about the axle thing be 4 i got that pissed i neeed 2 how ever buy the stuff for 4 wheel sterin with only the fron i noticed it slides alittle from all the grip the back tires r givein so i think 4 wheel stearin will be nice on it and make the truck handle alot better

well i seen most of all the stuff on himoto web page but i didnt see the servo and i wanted 2 get the same 1 so the timein is right on em so 1 dont turn faster then othere and what not or incase 1 dont turn as far all the b/s

The Pinion Shaft Bearings are seated in a SLOT in the plastic Diff cover......
If I remember correctly, the larger diameter shims would rub on the casing, and cause some Binding, in that particular spot.

P.S.
If you add up the Shims I used, it comes to 1.3mm.....I left SOME play in there too.
That doesnt really Sound like an excessive amount of Slop, but it IS enough to play Havoc when your pinion gear is backing On and OFF of the ring gear.

I caught it before any Damage was done, but it WOULD have damaged the gear teeth if I had left it the way it was.

I need 1 of these! Where do you get spare parts? An extra set of front steering links i.e. to upgrade to 4 wheel steering? It's really killing me that there are no upgrades yet. I guess I can wait. Polished all aluminum axle case, steering blocks and stuff would be rad! I really want to get into crawlers and debating to get Himoto or axial? How sweet would this crawler be with a scale body and all aluminum diff cases? ;-)

i was lookin at a few pics and i seen 1 with a wench DO them work will the pull your rc and where can i get 1 i dont need 1 that will fit my rc ima country boy ill get it to work but the wench would be pimp lookin on it and if it worked whoa that be bad ass id like some led lights for the under body 2 2 get it bright under there but i cant find a site that sells this stuff ne web pages would be nice if ull got some !!!!! tyty COMEAGEIN!

I dont know for Positive,,,,but from Lurking in the Crawler Threads, I Know that a LOT of guys build Custom Rigs from Mixing and Matching a lot of different Kit parts.

I would not be surprised if a lot of Axial parts fit on the Himoto, and Vice Versa.

I KNOW some folks put Entire Axles into other kits, or build kustom rigs from the ground up, starting with their favorite axle...

Eventually,,,,we will learn to Customize the Himoto Crawler....Why not be the First to Do So?!?

Thanks eveyone! I don't even have it yet... The main upgrades I want for it are cosmetics, I've spent hours researching and it does'nt need anymore performance it's all there. It would be sweet if they made aloy center gear box, axle cases, steering block, and C-hub. That's really all I can see that I would change. I don't think axial's axle cases would fit, from the specs Himotos are wider. I'm sure someone sooner or later that's craftier than I am will make em'. I just saw your video Kuppler. That's what I was looking for too... Did you get it from the seller? I see two people that sell these on ebay 1 from NY, and 1 from Texas. I don't think either of them have parts listed? Is there a website?

By the way thanks for the link. I'll probably pick something up from you. I just sold my last nitro truck and traded the rest, to someone here actually who I have'nt heard from. LOL! I just have a Mini LST2 now that's in pieces waiting for parts. I've seen some sick scale crawlers and I want one. I'll start out with one of these. The Bruisers, and all those other ones are way too heavy on the price tag.
