I will be there for the duration of the Team trials and the following rally.
The Litchfield airport is a great facility for flying our jets. If you haven't attended yet, you are really missing out on unlimited flying time. There are no interruptions at all. Even though this is at a full scale airport, the runway is completely closed. Closure of the runway is possible because Litchfield has two runways that do not even intersect!
I am really excited about the U.S. Team Trials. I will be the scorekeeper during the trials. Now is your chance to participate in this World class event without the expense of overseas travel and having to ship your jet. Don't miss out.

This Banner was prepared by Jim Wright, our Litchfield AirportCoordinator, to attract spectators to our qualifier. We have and will be using it at events during the season.

Man, I wish I had the funds to get to this. 
Anyone want to sponser a trip for me to get there? 
It sure would be nice if qualification for the WJM team could be done through more than just one qualifying event. At the least maybe through two events, one placed centrally in the western region and another placed centrally in the eastern region, you know? Might broaden the playing field a little bit and make it a little more accessible.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><u><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black; font-size: 10pt">It has been suggested and approved by all Contestants entering the Qualifier that we change the starting date from Noon Saturday September the 4th to Noon Tuesday September 7th. There are 9 Contestants so we would finish on Wednesday the 8th and jump right into Route 66 Jets. This allows the participants, judges, supports, etc. to be with family on Labor Day weekend, save time & money, come early for practice if they so desire and stay for Route 66 Jets.</span></u></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><u><span style="font-family: Arial; color: black; font-size: 10pt">This change also providesR66participants a much better opportunity to attend the Qualifier.<o

The following have entered the Qualifier to determine the 6 US Team Members, plus 2 alternates, to compete in the 9th Jet World Masters at the National Musuem of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
The 2 alternates will be expected to attend the Event and be prepared to fly calibration flights for the Judges.

RE: US TEAM QUALIFIER FOR JWM
Wow, what a great event. The experience I gained being around some of the best pilots in the country was priceless. Congratulations to these guys; David, Scott, Lewis, Rod, Kim and Jason!!!! I didn't make the team this time around but I was proud to pull off an alternate spot. I'm confident with the experience gained, I'll have even a better chance of making the it in the top 6 next time around. But as it turns out, as alternates, we will be assisting the team at the event so this is a wonderful opportunity to learn even more. I love this hobby, and I especially love scale jets. You simply can't/ won't find another event in the world similar to this that is dedicated purely to scale jets.
