Gonzalo, Awesome install! Can you make the 3D parts for me? I will be starting on my A-10 soon.

Hey Dantley,
I will be happy to provide you with some parts but the true is that I didn't do much 3D printing for the A10..... I just did a lens holder and a few tiny things there for 3D printing.
I did some machining on my lathe of some parts and laser cuts some other parts too. I might do an entire cockpit in the future that will be a dream to have but that will be much later.
I really want to get this bird up in the air ASAP so I am working on that. I really love the turbines that I choose! Merlins 140..... they are so light and tons of power and the Ali exhaust system make the SM A10 looks so much nicer!

Gonzalo, do you have any other parts (that you've made) that you think I will benefit from?

I don't have experience with Merlin turbines, but I like the weight. Any reason to choose them over Cheetahs?

Finally, where can I order the exhaust system?

Hahaha Are they the same engines or do they just share some of the same parts?

Almost there and probably next weekend would be the maiden as is my B-day too! hopefully I have some extra luck with the B-day!
The ex president pilot could not work any better! perfect fit! the canopy sync with locks to perfection!

I am just trying to find out what would be the best way to get those antennas fix in case something happens they can be easily pop out.

This Sunday.... 3 days from today... Not next week, this Sunday the 19th.... stop playing with it. I'll even go to your house to charge batteries and load the plane Saturday night
Year and a half for an ARF is enough hahah (well, year and 4 months.... there are witnesses here in RCU)

AND... at least 3 flights. Also, there is a gallon of fuel in for each engine, so flights need to be longer than 3 minutes.

Am I been enough of a pain in the ***** ?? hahahaha

Yes Jack! you are a pain in the neck but I love you! There are a few things that I need to check and I don’t want to rush as you said I spent lots of time on this plane.

Hopefully next weekend would be the day!!!!! and Jack as much as you want.... you have "zero" influence on me trying to rush the maiden

I know you put your planes quite fast because of your Velcro techniques used in everything..... including the turbines!

Gzzzzzz!!!!

OK... I give up. We might see that A10 fly sometimes during 2013 then haha

Seriously now, Saturday next week sounds good. Let's aim for that. 1 A10 and 2 F100's ... awesome

Later

Why we call them ARFs is a mystery for me?

Gonzalo, this is why they call yours ARF !!!!!

Ohhh boy I see that picture and I felt like back in time when I used to build from blue prints! You really have to have the time for that and the love! No problem with the love but no time for sure! Amazing Jack (Dad)! If you give that to your son probably he will cover those wings with Velcro!

Warm regards,

Gonzalo

The A10 is balance and getting ready for the maiden! a few more scale pieces to install and do all the ground test for turbines and handling on the ground.
I ended putting 1 lbs on the nose to have the CG at 145mm

Enjoy,

Gonzalo

Hey Mick,

You just need to be ahed of the curve as you would be flying a heavier plane with more drag. She flies like a dream! You always need to alert with the power so she doesn't bite you back.
Is the same with my 1/4 scale helicopter! ahead of the curve.

You are going to love it the SM A10!

Gonzalo
