But yeah, might need to get a 350Z body for the RWD platform just to make it more "correct"..
LOL, I should shut my mouth. My 350Z TT is a RWD and I have it on a 4WD car.....DOH![:@]

Let me know how it goes at the track. I am taking the TC4 and WW2 with me to Chicago.

I guess I am starting to like the TC4 now....

You need another BL setup in your TA-04SS then you can compare them side by side.. to see which one you like better...

I wouldn't mind getting a belt car for sure!

Tamiya USA is clearing out the TRF415 (the original one) for $260.. and $275 w/ a body..

Not bad..

But there have been a couple of version released after that one, though.. although as an absolute purchase, it is a good value..

That would be a nice kit to add to your collection for sure!

Typical of aftermarket hop-ups, I guess.. the quality is good, but not well thought out.. LOL! During suspension twist (car leaning), the spur would rub the screw head that used to mount the rear body post.. (duh...)

Replaced the screw w/ a countersunk unit..

Put 3 washers between the SSG piece and the mounting posts to jack up the platform a little bit more..

Just need a little work.. Now it is all clear...

Did some shakedown runs w/ the Neo now in the F103GT.. I guess driving RWD car does teach you how to drive.. Like you really do need to plan your braking and slow down for your turn.. LOL! If brake too hard, the car would spin out.. (not even gyro can save you there.. !!)

I am sure it is being overgeared.. but I don't have other pinion / spur for this car (any suggestion?)..

The Neo gets warm but never hot (probably due to the temperature nowadays, as well as the cold weather here in CT nowadays!), so with heatsink, it should be even better...

It is definitely fast enough to be interesting.. I put a set of new X-Pattern Belted on it and it had enough traction to overload the front suspension (what suspension?!) and the front end would chatter.. but it is quite cool that I can push the car that hard during turns..

The gyro is dialed down to 50% at the high traction surface.. and it really only have a little bit of headshake at the end of a long straight, so it is not a big deal.. overall, working really well..

Would be interesting to run w/ a 4WD touring car that's equipped w/ a 12/13T motor or a Novak 5800 or so.. to see if the RWD can keep up...

It still can't keep up w/ the TC4 FT w/ Mamba Max 7700kv, but that's really to be expected....

Put one of them Novak glitch buster capacitor to F103GT.. figured that if anything, the gyro controlled steering can probably use that power reserve.. (hey, it moves faster than human control, that's for sure!!)

Besides, it looks trick... hee hee..

if you are getting head shake still I would turn down the gyro a little more, it may help.
I know with mine I have it set at about 40% or so, It tracks dead straight, and still help counter any unwanted drifting. I found also that I can actually break in a straight line unless I am going full out. You may want to turn down the expoential on your breaking with your radio or something, it will give you more control. I have a mamba in mine so I just adjust it with that. (mine is also 4wd lol)
One thing I did notice like you, is that the gyro cant save everything eg turn really hard it will still loop sometimes, others it will just make you oversteer.
One thing I haven't done yet that you may be able to try is seeing if you can get it to pull a drift or poweslide a little bit. That would have it counter just the perfect amount.
I cant wait till you post a video of it running. We all want to see it, it sound like its really fast.

I have it set at 50%.. it doesn't really have headshake anymore..

F103GT is RWD, though.. not 4WD.. hence it is a little bit harder to brake hard...

Yeah, it is very cool.. sometimes, the car steps out due to track imperfection, and you see the tail snaps back, like a power slide.. hee hee... it is very neat..

Yeah, got to do some video next time.. when I run w/ TEX again.. (unless I setup a tripod.. ha ha!)

Got any pic of your setup yet?!
