Welcome to Club SAITO !
Thanks Dave.
Those cylinders appear to be identical to the 200Ti, brass inserts and all. Leaves me wondering why those cylinders couldn't be used on a 200Ti. They are a different part number for SOME reason. Hmmm
I would expect to see 9K peak or so with the APC 16x8.

Saito changed the cylinder castings for the 91 somewhere along the way. The original 182 and 200Ti used modified 91 cylinders, which had casting bosses for either rear entry intake (91) or side entry intake (182 & 200Ti). The later 91 cylinders did not have casting bosses for side intake. The one I sent to Jim didn't anyway.
The 182 Lee reviewed is like yours, brass inserts for the front glow plugs however the 200Ti he reviewed has no mention of the brass inserts. Most likely a mod Saito did for production run 200Ti cylinders to retain glow plug heat i.e. to keep a cylinder from dropping out at idle.
If nothing else, I've figured out that the brass glow plug inserts on my 200Ti are a production mod, not something the previous owner did in an attempt to repair a botched glow plug thread repair. I'm also reasonably confident that the cylinders from a 182 can be used on a 200Ti.
Interesting thought: Seeing as the 115 shares the same case size as a 91, how about a 200Ti case with a 115 top end? 2.52 cu in.

hey guys, can you give me a guess about what it would cost me for shipping, if I ordered FA 100 Tappets from MacGregor?
BTW, is there any hidden charges I would have to pay. I never ordered outside the USA.

You will know the total before you hit the Pay Now button.

I did not get to run any engines yesterday, I had started a project on Tuesday, sharpening the blades in my wood chipper. I had a fumble finger moment and dropped one blade into the bottom of the blower housing. I nearly had to dismantle the entire chipper to get the blade out, about 25 bolts most with nylock nuts on them.

Well the fearful procrastinating finally ended this morning as I was avoiding going to work. Five out of five without stripping one out of five lolPeesssNote the bag in the background Gary. Forgot to thank you.

Getting those Keleo's on there is a tricky proposition,it almost has to happen by accident. When I put one on a 120 R-3 I had for a while it suddenly went on there after many failed tries.
Numbers for the .66 I created.
Fuel===10% with 18% full Syn.
Plug===Sonic Tronics/Glo-Devil 4c special
Exhaust==Stock revised
Ambien temp 50 degrees F.
APC 13x6 max rpm===10,100
APC 13x7 max rpm====9,570
Graupner G-Sonic 13 x 6 max rpm==10,370
Idle with both APC's was 1,750
Idle with G-Sonic===?

thanks for the help guys!!! you are always there!
Dave, APC 13x6 max rpm===10,100;
a comparison here for you and Pete, my smelly OS 61fx on 15% with the small SlimLine Pitts turned an APC 12x6 at 10.100. this proving your 66 is a rather strong, little monster!
it's very compatible with the 72 (2), giving it more time running, it may come up another 100Rs ??

There ya go!
Patience pays huge, good to see the Oak gave you a bit of "confidence".
Amazing how many folks swear it will never fit only to find just how well it does!
A three cyl is one thing; the five can be a major cussmaker.
Don't forget to anneal those copper leak stoppers before installation

Congrats Aaron, apparently it's fine and fussy work to get those rings on. And.......I'm green with envy. Maybe some day I'll have a suitable airframe for a radial.
Is that a CDI hall effect sensor I see?

I had mentioned during the building of the .66 that the 27 mm FG 11 piston is 1 mm taller than the stock 62 piston . The increased compression, if it indeed is, has not been a problem. It has not offered to kickback when leaning to peak. Although being conscious of that I have been careful sneaking up to the peak. When going one click beyond the peak it slows without pre-ignition raring it's ugly head. The additional height is above the piston ring.

It goes right back on my GP 1359 Super Stearman (72" wing). Used to yank it around like a rag doll on glo. Probably be more like a *****cat on gas.
Sposto be nice this weekend. Hope you all get a chance to fly!
Yeah Lonnie the sensor mates to the ring on the prop drive, with five magnets. Cool set up from Adrian in Florida. I had to get a newer version of the drive to fit his part, but no biggie.

I just picked up on of those GP Super Stearman ARF. Brand new in the box.
Picked up it's GP Waco cousin too.
The Stearman is destined for a YS FZ-140.
No decision on the WACO yet.
