Are you running your TT01 in a vintage transam class?

looks clean, not a fan of american steel, but that looks good, what tires/rims are you running? as far as camber goes, you have your adj. upper arms, so guess and test away, toe, you will need specific hubs for. THIS-[link]http://www.rctek.com/technical/handling/index.php[/link] may help in explaining. what brand tie rods are you using, the arms attached to the front hubs, i have GPM and am not happy with them.
thanks.

I am running the Vintage HPI Wheels and tires and the tie rods are 3Racing... i dont have a problem with anything as of yet but really haven't had to much drive time so only use and abuse will tell. I am happy with the speed of the 9tEzrun but would like to upgrade it soon so lets see what happens i might out the 5700kvMM in this care and take it out my slash.

Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forum and purchased a used TT-01R chassis. I was rebuilding it and noticed that there is some play in the steering linkage and it is hard to align the front toe because of the play. Is there any suggestions out there to fix this issue?

Thanks

Upgrading the steering components to aluminum would help.

Aluminum Steering should be one of the first mods for this car...especially if you plant to upgrade the Motor.

Make sure you didn't leave out the metal washers under the pivot arms. You also try slipping a small rubber washer over the screws near the head to fill any gaps. You can make your own washers by thinly slicing fuel tubing.

hye. i had my TT01 for 2 years now but only now have i really took drifting seriously wit it. my car is down right now n i dont know why. wen it was still working on its last run, it statred overheating lyke every 30 seconds n my Novak XRS Sport Revirsible killed the power for a few i guess...but when i tried using it again the next day, it started acting weird. like wen i turn on the car and as soon as i hit the on button for the remote it automaticly goes full throttle in reverse. n den wen i try to drive it, it'll turn and full throttle forward but i cant throw it in reverse. the esc lights up the green light wen i put it in reverse n nothing happens and i get the red light wen i give full throttle. it supposed to be green in throttlefor sure...not sure bout reverse... ALL I KNOW IS THAT MY TT01 IS NOT USEABLE. CAN ANYONE HELP ME???

You may want to try another speed control. I have had two XRS speed controls that went bad without any abuse.

i am running a novak sensored 5800kv motor on a 60a ezrun sensorless esc, no problemo, a wee bit of cogging on take off, but a beast! the 9t is 30a, so i don't think it will be any good, don't wanna fry it....
check the ezrun [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8457415/mpage_15/key_/tm.htm[/link]forum for further inquiry.

anyone had any experience with venom fireball motors? i am looking for a 15T for my new rally TT-01 build, gonna be running it in snow and rain so needs to be fully waterproof, so will need to run brushed. any suggestions for a 15T? i am certain that HPI motors are crap, got a 20t a while back and my super sport tamiya was MUCH faster.

Hey all, Am all the way from Brunei. I own two TT01's- one TT01 convert to TT01-D while the other is TT01-D and i have installed all optional and hop up parts from Tamiya, 3 racing and yeah racing. I run 2 different motors on individual chassis- hobbywing ezrun 9T and the other one running on Hobbywing ezrun 5.5T served with Futaba brushless metal gear servo BLS 451 and freebrid digital fast servo respectively.

Problem is my pinion and spur gave way (22T-58) as i was doing a pink slip race last night and lost my Tamiya EK9 Honda civic Shell with 2 laps to go. This happened on my 5.5T often and i wonder which pinion and spur would be the ideal ones for it. I use my RC for drifting and i was running HPI radial drift tyres on slippery cement when i lose the pink slip race.

So i have alot of 17,18,19,20,21 size pinion but left with 55T spur. What size pinion would be ideal for the 55T spur?

I have 2 other chassis for drifting as well which is an HPI E10 and the Lightning Drift rc.

To get the same ratio I am going to take a guess here that since you had to drop down three teeth on the spur you would need to go up three teeth on the pinion so it would be 55spur, 25 pinion. Just my guess here. Always buy spear spurs. Right now I run a 55/35 combo for 17.5 brushless.

Hi Everyone,

Just got the Tamiya ball diff for my TT-01R and when I was installing it, the dog bones are binding up when I put everything back together and I had to remove the o-rings in the cups for the wheels. It this suppose to be like that? It seems that my dog bones are too long. When I put my original gear diff back it it is fine. Am I doing anything wrong or are there any suggestions to fix this issue?

Thanks!!!

Are you using the original dogbones or did you upgrade to universals. I know when i upgraded to universals or axles I had to put a o-ring in one side to make it all fit right. You might be able to put an o-ring in one side but not the other. Try it that way and see what happens.
