The punch is set on "9". The highest punch. It has no cogging what-so-ever. Runs really smoothly.

If you set everything correctly and use good batteries - you shouldn't have any cogging until the battery pack gets low. That's been my experience anyway and I have many sensorless brushless controllers.

holy cooling batman! those yeah racing high flow fans are the best out there, 2 for the motor? whoa, brilliant placement of the 9V by the way, well thought! looks great Andyjk. i am running a sensored novak with the ezrun 60A, and have some pretty heavy cogging on take off (see youtube link below) i have a 5.5t hobbywing on it's way, so i will see how that goes. i found that setting the punch to the lowest helps with the cogging. have you found performance difference when changing the timing? i guess i will find all this out when the 5.5t shows up, but curious non-the-less.
cogging: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNVz70H4l68
this is a great thread!

I haven't played around with the timing at all, I don't fully understand what its purpose is.

Anyway, I have a GT350 Mustang body which I love to use but at high speed it loses control and cornering isn't the best either. I made a spoiler out of aluminium and it looks great. Massive improvement in stability. Here's some pics, ENJOY!

Cheers

looks great, the down force really helps at high speeds i've found. you should experiment with the timing, could make a big difference, or not...

Well I don't want to play around with it until I know what it does lol.

So......what does it do? In my instructons it reads:

"There are many differences among structures and parameters of different brushless motors, so a fixed timing ESC is difficult to compatible with all brushless motors. It is necessary to make the timing value programmable. Please select the most suitable timing value according to the motor you are using. Generally, higher timing value brings out higher power output, but the whole efficiency of the system will be slightly lower down."

Hmmm....doesn't really tell me much, even after you get around the bad grammar. LOL

from what i've read here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_84..._1/key_/tm.htm

is that if you set it at 8, or the highest timing, you'll get higher top speed/better exceleration, but it will drastically reduce run time, and might run hot. buuuut, i have not actually found any difference from setting #1 to #8, i think because i am running a sensored novak motor with the ezrun ESC. i am really looking forward to the arrival of the ezrun 5.5t so i can get the full adjustability. do you have the program card? if not i would suggest it, $10 on the bay and makes it easy.

Yeah I've got the program card. My mate has the EZ run 5.5t motor and ESC. IT IS MENTAL. I think its a little too much power for it though. (Can't believe I just said that lol)

nice!, you can always keep off the throttle if need be. i just cracked my chassis, it's real easy to switch everything over. my ezrun 5.5t JUST turned up, i'll pop it in tonight and have a report and video soon.
on another note, i am not really a fan of drifting, especially the PVC tyre type drifting, but [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8cP93yG1Ao&feature=PlayList&p=8D31FD784AC 3623A]drift[/link]THIS:

is pretty cool.

I'm in the process of picking up a used TT-01. It's coming with no batteries or charger. I currently have 2 low mah rotostart batteries from my Savage I plan to use temporarily. Knowing they'll be terrible what should I be looking to get? I understand I need a decent charger right, peak etc? Then batteries wise should I look for ni-mh or lipo? Ideally 2 decent batteries and a charger is what I want.

with this chassis i don't know if you wanna invest in lipo, just get a simple charger like THIS:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=DYN4056

and a few 5000mah packs like THIS:

Thanks for the info, and I guess considering I'll use my Savage way more than the TT-01 the Lipos might be a waste.

To keep it local (Canada) would this work as well: http://www.greathobbies.com/producti...rod_id=DYM4063

Looks to be same spec to me.

Ya too bad the battery packs are more than double the US sites...

Are Duratrax and Venom to be avoided? They seem to be easily available in my area.

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a TT01 but unsure which version to get... I'm leaning towards the TT01ED but only body available is the lexus and it doesn't do it for me. (Can swap out the body I guess) Im going to be using it for drifting so that is why Im not sure if I should or shouldn't go with just the TT01E instead which has gazillion body's to choose from and then upgrade to drift specs.

Anyone want to try and make my decision a bit easier?

I am planning on going BL but I want to try to keep it under $100 plus lipo's. Is the ezrun 10T a good choice? Just for some fun weekly drift nights during the winter.

Thanks

I would get the TT01ED because for just $50 more you get oil shocks ($26), bearings ($27), adjustable upper arms ($14), heatsink ($11) and sport tuned motor ($25). Since you're going brushless, you can sell the motor and heatsink and use the money to get another body

i agree in full. as for the ezrun combo, i would just get the 5.5t combo, more power for about $20 more, you'll always wanna go faster, why not just have the power available?
plus the whole number(10t, 13t, etc.) hobbywing motors have a smaller rotor, 350 i believe, where as the .5 numbered ones have a full size 540 rotor. more torque i think. here is the best deal on the bay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-COMBO-B4-5...item2a010c2e39
SO FAST! i just put mine in.
