Im thinking of picking up this for a battery. I plan on running a motor heat sink with a fan and I want to set the LED lights up on the BMW Z4 body when I get one.<div>

</div><div>any suggestions for a battery that will run all that and a 13t brushless with ease?</div>

if you're gonna go brushless on a budget i can only reiterate, this combo:
http://cgi.ebay.com/EZRUN-5-5T-Brush...item45f481cee9

seriously, just get the big one and tone it down if you need, throttle control son!
plus, the new hobbywing motors look clean!

If you go with that 5.5t, I wouldn't use anything higher than a 2 cell lipo. My mate has the exact same one and it hammers on 2 cell, as fast as mine on 3 cell. He tried 3 cell and it just chews through the gears. And tyres. And everything else.

yeah that battery is ok, will do the job, but you can get better for cheaper. I use these brand of batteries, as do a lot of people and they swear by them. Awesome cheap too

are you familiar with lipo batteries? if you plan on getting the 60A esc, it can handle 3s cell lipo, but any lower rated esc can only handle 2s cell lipo, on the cheap for 3s, hit up ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-2200mAh-20C-1...item1c0cea9972

i have these and if you are carefull, they will last some time and provide beyond ample power. tons of fun!

That's not entirely true. I have a 35A ESC in two different vehicles and are both rated to run up to 3 cell. And both have run with 3 cell's without a problem for years.

This is what I use. Although it's been really good, I wouldn't get the same again, only because you can get basically the same, but cheaper, with ezrun

I have a Yeah racing 4300kv on 3 cell (making it 47,730 rpm) and my mate has a Ezrun 6000kv on 2 cell (making it 44,400rpm). They both keep up with one another and run the same. The ESC's look like an exact copy of eachother.

If a tock set up would do, you might consider this when they're inn stock.

I put together another TT-01 from spare parts (had to buy a few parts to complete it) but anyway, it's now a rally car. Here's a vid of it in action, enjoy!

andyjk, you always give me good ideas, i have been looking into doing that for a while. I see you are using a 12t ezrun in the vid, would u say the car was overpoweredas i have a spare brushed reedy flash 19x2 quad magnet and lipo voltage cut off lying around and if that will give me enough power than i dont need to purchase another bl system.

I wouldnt say its over powered, i think its just right. I am used to driving a 9T on 3 cell though on my on road lol.

I did run it for a bit on 3 cell and it was too much.

Just try it with the one you've got and if its too slow, upgrade!

And the only other problem with running brushed is that it will get dirt in it and will need constant maintenance. Advantage of having a brushless-no maintenance

dirt in the brushed motor is a definate anoyance, gotta clean it all the time, BUT, if you live in a wet climate, you can run it in water!
best write up for TT-01 rally conversion:

good call on 60mm shocks, raises it up substantially.

i just purchased a tamiya df02 and i relised it shared all the drive train bits (except the dogbones) with my tt01, its a bit weird how tamiya charge you the same price for the tt01 and df02 when the tt01 stock has no oil dampers, metal ring gear, metal bevel pinion gears, tierods for the steering, fullball bearings or metal dogbones yet the df02 has them stock! I wish the tt01 comes standard with ball bearings, cva shock units, alu prop shaft, metal dogbones, and tierods for the steering.

I like that chassis. one of these days when my tt01 build is finished I am gonna have to look at a different car to get. This is going to become an expensive hobby.
