Hey Heli!

Long time no see...

Things around here are about like usual...yeah...I couldn't resist another CPP2...lol[X(]

The first one sold me on the second one, not to mention the parts inavailability issue at the present time...[>:]

I am hoping to get some flying in soon, the weather here is supposed to be awesome on Wednesday...and stays light now until 7PM or so, maybe I can get some flyin' in after work..

How's things up in Connecticut?

Evan,

Cool!

I guess the servo upgrade turned out fine...good job!

Do you think you can tell any difference in the servos from the stock ones?

My stock B400 seems sluggish compared to my main one with the DS 285's....

How many battery packs do you have now, I forgot?

Damn Heli ! That sucks....[>:] Sorry to hear ya had to let it go. At least ya got familiar with the build and so when the time comes again to grab another you'll be more experienced..

Hey guys,

I just couldn't resist this thing from Helidirect last night...

http://www.helidirect.com/micro-heli...cpp-p-3026.hdx

I really do need this thing, every time I load up to go flying, I end up making like 3 trips out to the car...lol

One guy on the reviews said it'll fit a B400, the other guy said he has put a Trex 450 and a Blade CP in it at the same time, with room for the radio, batteries, blades, etc...

Should be cool!

* I got the last one, at least until Friday...[]

Jeff,

Once I saw the picture I thought what were you doing to cause that. Then I saw it wasn't yours. I wouldn't want to be the one paying for that bill. Hopefully my 600 will never look like that.

Glenn,

I saw a couple of those totes at my nearest LHS before it closed. Then at one of my fun flies I saw a couple of people leaving with those totes, but I didn't see what the inside looked like.

I just finished a 1200 word essay for my English class tomorrow! WaHoo. I am glad that is the last essay I will have to write in school.

I have the same WingTote bag> All I had to do was cut out different landing gear slots. Radio fits in right side pocket since its bigger.
I have had my B400 CPP CX2 and mcx in it. I am sure you will be able to get your B400 and 2 or 3 CPPs in it. Has a place to store blades
in it also.

Nick,

I have hard aluminum cases for both the 400 and 500 and really like them with these observations. The hard case carries nicely. The soft bag could be stored away easier. The soft cases will carry better laying them on your seat, the metal case carry very well in the truck on the back of my truck.
The 600 monster we have is fine w/out anything except when you need to carry some distance and or other stuff. Also in the back of my truck it wants to tip over! so I have to put the 500 and 400 and the 600 loose in the middle....no likie! I carry the 500 in the hard case with TX and all packs with left hand. The 600 is in my right hand from the rotor and I wear a back pack with the Dx7 and three brick 5000 packs. While the 500 case holds a TX it rubs my servo and puts a little pressure on it. I wear my helmet cam w/out cam and people just see a hard hat no worries there. At the contruction site I have to carry everything about 150 yards from the parking lot across the street to my site. Thats a haul! I am thinking the case I just showed you might work for the 600 and give it some protection too.

Guys Helidirect now also sells RC cars and trucks. It looks like they have room to add airplanes in the tab section, so I wonder if they are going to do that too.

Wow that's cool ! Maybe the way the economy is there kinda looking to broaden there inventory so its not so specialized in just heli's... That would be cool if they added some plane stuff, I always go to Helidirect first as there my favorite vendor to this date... 2 days to my door everytime... Hassle free, & awesome service. I'am getting hungry to burn a 500 batt in my small yard...Lol... I love it how the neighborhood will be all quiet but within seconds the 500 will chop and whine in the airspace and wake up any late sleepers...LMAO...

I need to fly my Vapors and such, they've been sitting for awhile now... I also need to get a inner shaft for the CX2 so I can get that back in the air for some more torture. I noticed though that the inner shaft diameter for the CX2 is the same as the CPP's training gear CF legs... I'll probably just cut up one and make a quick innershaft and get that thing at least flyable so I can enjoy it in the small yard...

Cheers,

~ Jeff

Jeff,

It sounds like you have good weather.

It is 60 degrees here with hardly any wind. I got one flight in so far and can't wait to get some more in.

Nick,

Sounds like you are having some excellent weather out there!

As usual, I am getting your weather a day or two later, supposed to be mid 60's here tomorrow...

I would love to go flying after work or during lunch at least, if I feel up to it, this cold has still got me down some.[]

How's your flying day going?

Glenn,

Sorry to hear you are still sick.

I got 6 packs in the 450 and I am getting comfortable turning towards me inverted in both directions. Flying inverted is starting to become second nature just like upright flying. After a couple more days of practicing this I am going to try backwards inverted flight again. I almost crashed into the ground and a tree, but my instincts saved the heli. Now it is getting windier, so I am going to take the 600 out.

Nick,

Sounds awesome, keep up the great flying!

I can't even do some of the stuff you are in real life on the sim!

Great job!

Maybe I'll get there someday, but it's gonna be awhile!

Good luck with the 600 later on.

I figure this cold is gonna hang on for a while yet...[]

Not much I can do about it, just make the best of each day that I can!

Nick,

I am just about done with my old, tired, original CP Pro...lol.

I was going to use the original head retaining pin, but the holes are worn in the rotor head, so I used the old paper clip trick. It's got alot of slop, but so does everything else..lol

I just gotta solder the tail motor wires, put on a new GWS tail rotor, and check tracking.

Should be fun to see how it flies.

Carl,

Thanks for the input on the tote...should be really great for me, since I was trying to carry everything out to the car separately, had 2 or 3 helis, a radio, battery box, tools, etc...

Sounds like it is going to be a great addition to my heli stuff....just wondering why it took me so long to think of getting one..

How's the 500 doing?

Glenn
