So there I was putting together my new CRT Pro kit and when I went to build the brake assymbley low and behold OFNA forgot to include the brake pad springs in my kit[:'(]. After several minutes of trying to make another type of spring fit I gave up and now it's time to give OFNA a piece of my mind. This is why I @#$%ing hate kits.[:@]

hey man, the crt fiber brake setups do not rquire those springs. just screw the pads close enuff with minimal play. my brakes never bind wout those springs. btw i did not get the springs too in my kit.

ps.. any news on the jammin .28 parts???

That's good to know. I finished the build without them anyway, I figured I could make it work without them, I am glad too hear that they don't bind, I was worried about that. Haven't heard any updates on the .28 parts, I think I am going to go with a Ninja .28 and put my V-spec in my buggy.

I just got a Crt RTR. I have the CNC braces and the Z brace. Should I upgrade the knuckles or spend my money else where? I plan on racing some and bashing some. I am building a track at my house and there are two nice tracks I plan on racing at. One is real tight and technical and the other is pretty wide open.

I do not know how well the knuckles on the rtr hold up but I do know that you can't go wrong with CNC knukles. From previous experience forged knuckles can crack coming off of big jumps, CNC knuckles are much stronger, but as previously stated I have no experience with the RTR version of this peticular model.[8D]

Almost ready to race, my break in is almost done, I have ran it through 6 heat cycles. I am going to do about 3 more and call it good. I like to do about 8 ~ 10 cycles of 5~6 minute runs and 10 minute cool downs, I run it up to about 220~230F and then shut it down. I can't wait

spend your money else where and when they break change them. I use mine constantly and hard and have yet to break them and so do my friends.
But I do admit that I have a couple spare for when disaster stricks

i dont think upgrading the knuckles will be necessary at this time. those CNC braces alone should compliment your first upgrade nicely, as it is one hell of a saver when it comes to high impact. i learned the hard way. make sure to retighten all screws. mine came loose/lost after a few hours of bashing. one of my engine screws disappeared, which resulted in my clutch bell gear being destroyed. switched from damaged 13T to 14T

Turned several laps this weekend with my CRT pro on a pretty tight track and this thing handles the tight tracks perfect with the
v-spec, not one problem with it, it ran perfect. Man this thing is fast, I would not trade it for any other truggy, period!

all of you, i recommend getting rid of all of your 1/2 offset wheels and run zero offset. it will require a different set of ball links due to clearance issues, but it will be a much needed upgrade

Well i finally have my X1CRT pro kit !! It took a few months to save up for it but it was worth the wait . What a machine, this thing is solid !!
Im glad i decided to get the pro kit not the RTR.
It didnt take me long to get used to driving a 4 wheel drive . What a change from driving my RC10 GT. I love throwing this thing into the turns and just hammering the throttle to pull it through. Awesome !! No more spin outs with 2 wheel drive. I unfortunately had to settle for a cheaper motor and pipe. I found a new Mach .26 with header and HPI pipe for a savage project. After about 8 tanks of fuel my break-in and fine tuning is pretty much done , and it runs real good. However i cant help wondering if that savage pipe has the right "powerband"
tuning for my truck. The Savage is a lot heavier i believe and geared differently than my X1CRT. Does anyone have any input or info on this pipe /motor combination in my truck ?

I have broken 3 of the plastic toe blocks on the rear of my CRT. I have the rtr. The first two were from just a little crooked jump that landed on the right rear wheel. No biggie, but the pins popped out and my dogbone went flyin. Found the dogbone, but I hate having to change the blocks after every third jump. Can someone steer me in the right direction on which cnc ones to buy? I would like to get this for as cheap as possible. Thanks. I also bent the aluminum block in the front of the rear diff on the last jump. This is getting frustrating.

Hey guys,

Not to start a "which is better" war here, but I'm stuck between the X1CRT RTR and the Hellfire RTR. Many people I've talked to say there both good, with the exception of one LHS person saying that the Hellfire will break easily. What are the advantages of the X1CRT over the Hellfire?

it depends are what you are wnating to use it for? I myself just got my jammin. i chose it ebfre it will outperform the hellfire. the hellfire isnt realyl a race truggy. if you are wanting a truggy to bash around with and run at ur house or bash ont he track with, u could get a hellfire, but the jammin will do both + it is highly competative (including the driver skills) on and off the track.

i was exactly where u wer, and i figured that i would do more racing with it more than anything so i definatly chose the jammin. i did see teh hellfire on the track and it was a beast but it couldnt stay ont he track very well especially turning. i liked the looks of the hellfire alot better but i loved the perfomance of the jammin. anyway thats my 2 cents.
