They arent really "race" cars. Its not "race worthy". But, many hobby shops have a class for them or you could always start one at your local track...or the free for all. I dunno how it is down there...but you get the idea. I have never raced mine, but id like to.

tt-01 has a stock class racing and a super stock with will be held (world champs) in beijing next week i think.

go for a tamiya super stock tz/rz motor as a cheap motor(and its tuneable)

i want carbon on the car my new upper looks so damn good, also where can i get good ally parts, pref red in colour, will post pics either today or tomoz on tt-01, i rebuild it the last to eves and its clean and all new. body just has to be cleaned.

question: anybody here ever strip paint off a tamiya body? (skyline ztune pref)

Try rcmart for red alloy parts and ebay. About the paint removal...try using brake fluid or nail polish remover(not sure exactly what type). Look in the painting and detailing forum.

ola
any hobby shop, if you want body only itll be best if you phone jeffreystein in cape town(distributor of tamiya southaffrica)

where you based then ill tell you of good shops... shop around, but on cars in particular Esswex in Northcliff is cheapest, but for hop ups, go to Hobbyzone in The Glen shopping centre.

Fastest motor, highest speeds, etc. Gearing and batteries play the biggest and most important rule next to motors. You could have the most powerful motor, but with the incorrect gearing and poor batteries...youre going pretty much no where. Also, tires play a huge role too. Fastest motor for the tt-01? I wouldnt suggest going below 19T motor if you bash it around. But, if you just want top speed and only do drag style...than go for broke. Get a 15T or to your liking. Just dont WOT right off the line or you will have tranny soup.
