Is the engine that is included in the X1CRT better than the one in the Hellfire (KA 4.6HO)? Why is the hellfire not a race truggy? I plan on using it for recreation and taking it to some local dirt tracks. I might race it for fun.

it isnt a race truggy because it isnt built like one. ive researched it also. i think the engines are about the same. if ur racing it for fun i would be ok, but it wouldnt be very competative. its really hard to turn on the truck with it, and stay inside the lane. i dunno, it all depends on what u are wanting to use it for. In my opinion I think the jammin is a better truggy. (not saying this just because i own one) but ive seen hellfires perform ont he track, and yes they are a beast but the performance isnt that great unlike that to a crt. plus i think the crt is faster.

how is everyones crts holding up , seeing they are really the original factory made truggy , there were conversions out prior , but these really started the whole truggy seen , they still seem to set the bench mark aswell , can't wait to pull mine out of the cupboard now i'm settleing down in my new place , got my "workshop" half set up and had the motocross pulled out from under me due to a collapsed lung , can't ride no more , so it's all rc from here on in , so i'm going to make a big push in it , buying a couple of the rerelease tamiya's (Frog and Hornet) relive my beginnings in r/c and another boat for down the coast when on holidays , but will be ripping my crt every chance i get

The description says it requires scissors and a reamer, most likely you have to cut everything out. Its not that hard though, especially with some good lexan scissors and a dremel to smooth out the edges.

I plan on running my new Jammin RTR on a tight technical track. Can someone recommend some diff fluid weights? I was thinking either 10-front, 30-center, 3-rear OR 7-front, 10-center, 3-rear. Any thought?

Here's the one I did for my daughter (not her truck, just the body for her.. she's 4)

Oh, and it's my first real paint job (faded with spray cans)

OK, scratch that,. it didn't work..
anyone wanna share what I need to do?

Oh, I have another question..
Does any company make a bumper for the CRT that's worth a darn? I break the mounting posts on mine every time I take it out.. I have 4 perfect bumpers and 4 broken posts.. I'm going to make one out of steel or aluminum, anyone interested in something like that?
I won't charge much, just time and materials (and shipping)..
I don't think it will cost too much, or take too much time to make once I figure out how to go about doing it and what would not cause damage to more important parts in the event of a.....
crash.. ahhhaahh savior of the univers...

Hello, A friend of mine just got the jammin x1 crt, the rtr version. I just found this thread and haven't had time to read all posts, so I was hopeing someone could give me some quick answers. Just for starters are the diffs filled with grease or diff fluid? What shock oil wt. does it come with? And lastly (I know this is a very broad question) any heads up tho keep on the look out for on break in? thanks for the help, hopefully I can go back and review this thread before he breaks it in, but hopefully someone can help on this stuff for now. Thanks again.

The cases just have grease in them, the actual diffs have diff oil in them
The recommendation from the board is about 10,000, 10,000, 3,000 or so..
I have 7-7-1 and the front tires still balloon pretty bad, and I'm sure it's going to play hell on my rear diff in time. Some say go 30-30-10, that sounds a bit thick, it's all personal preference.. If you're just bashing it you should be fine with the stock stuff, but you make want to crack it open to make sure there is something in there at all, sometimes you'll find it's empty, or close to it..
You'll also want to go through and re-locktite every metal to metal screw on the truck..
I recommend doing this to the wheels too, they like to fly off..
But extra front arms.. I broke one on the first day, bought a bunch and haven't broke one again (one year)... I beat mine up, I only use it for bashing, and have run into my brothers lightning, and jump it a lot.. anything that breaks on it is usually my own fault .. not tightening something enough, or forgetting locktite.. it's a solid truck..
hope that helps.. good luck..

Anyone in Memphis that just likes to bash theirs??

Hi guys, just got an STS 30 for my CRT. It still has the 13T/62T gear setup. Can anyone recommend a better ratio for my new engine? Thanks a lot.
