Well I got the wings together tonight after work. I thought I'd take some pics to try and compare the F60 wings to the McLaren wings. It looks like the McLaren has more front and rear wing. The rear looks like wall; it would be cool to do some back-to-back runs with the two bodies.

I got minute this morning to snap off these pics of the body components. There's a couple more in this kit than there is with the F60, but check out the detail, you can't get that with a one piece molded body. I...like...it...a lot

Vyger, is that the Black Special chassis in the above pics? I'm assuming that the McLaren comes with the base chassis like the F60?

Ok, so I was cleaning out my crawl space and came across this while looking for an old speed control. Not sure what to do. I want to build it, but I have a DF03ra coming in a day or two. For sure this will be a shelf queen. Have half a mind to bling it out with whatever hop ups 3Racing or some of the other Chinese guys have for it. What do you think?

Are you willing to part with it? I've been looking for this particular model for a while now, F201.
Cheers

I got the body cut out and shot some paint on the McLaren this weekend. Here’s some pics pre-stickered so you can see how the body looks. I like the shape and there’s a crap load of detail…there’s just a lot of parts to it. All in all it’s good tradeoff. The parts aren’t fastened yet in the pics, so the alignment isn’t exactly perfect.
It was also my first time using this type of paint. It goes on really transparent, even after three coats as suggested in the instructions. Then you hit it with the black and BAMM! It’s like a mirror. I still have to apply the paint to the rear wing side plates, mirrors, and the side splitters. I would suggest getting two cans if you plan to paint it as instructed.

Senna, I'm undecided on wether I want to sell it or not. Give me some time to think.

I found these pics of the new 3Racing FGX F1 car and thought I'd share. I'm really curious to see how well this car will work. Tamiya and Kyosho have both tried a similar design, granted Tamiya's was on their 4wd car and the Kyosho was...well I'll just say lacking.

I found this pic of the new Tamiya F104X1. It looks like they've made a running change to the rear damper system and a few other minor changes. It has the new 2-piece upper deck...and the rear pod looks a little different along with the rear hub opposite the diff side.

Counterweight
The rear shaft counterweight is installed between the gear case and the left rear wheel to optimize balance and improve rear wheel traction. This freewheel counterweight is equipped with a ball bearing and does not affect the cars acceleration.

Can't wait to see how the new 3 racing FGX car will go the one with independant rear suspension.. have a F109 and its not a bad car.. I have kinda combined it with 104 and 103 parts.. bad thing about the new car is its not going to be compatible with these cars.. also will it be legal to race against the 103 104 and 109.. they are pan cars... most rules just specify 2WD F1 chassis.. like if a 201 is racing the front drive shaft has to be removed..

Other than that, yup. That was an epic, epic drive. I'm guessing we'll be referencing this race for years to come.

I believe it was P21 and the drive-through counts as a stop, so technically he only hit the box 5 times. Hamilton tried to take HIM out (amongst others) and the racing gods made him pay. Since I hate Alonso, I'll say he also tried to take Button out and the racing gods made him pay.

RE: 1/10 RC Formula 1 Cars...lets see'em
I just got this today. The kit looks really cool. I have to admit the color of the aluminum parts should make the chassis look very high-end...almost exotic like something you'd see on a real F1. However, I do see what might be some misses that go along with the hits. At first glance over the instructions some bodies may interfere with the new roll damper at the rear of the car. I'll probably start building tonight or tomorrow, so I'll let you all know what I find and post up some pics.
On a side note, it looks like my previous pic posts regarding this car got highjacked. I can't find the "edit" button....is it gone or have I lost my mind? Any help would be appreciated.
