RE: DLE 20 wont idle
I'm going to do something here I rarely do and offer an apology to those that can't deal with me. I'm direct, real direct, which can be a bit tough on some people. I've also been handling a lot of issues that probably got carried over into my dealings with other people.
To those that accept it, thank you.

Those of you itching to jump on the band wagon . . . .
Remember, JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!
If you cannot contribute to the original post, the safest bet is to not post at all?

Here's the deal from my view. Pat said that he had some issues going on. And, he admitted that he has been tough on people. I say we should let it alone. He made a public apology, so let go. It's not easy to say that in front of a few thousand people. Thanks, Pat. No problem from me.
This problem of going over topics until someone new pops in and asks beginner questions will never go away. It gets tedious. Aggravating. But, we have to be open to everybody. You never know when it's some kid without any experience asking the questions because he has the flying bug. That could have been one of us 40-50 years ago. You just have to be kind to everybody if you can.
This happens all over the forums. Threads are popular and the number of posts skyrocket for days or weeks. Soon, you have a hundred pages and don't know where to go for specific info. As Tony Soprano would say, "whatcha gonna do?"

Thank you gentlemen, I took the carb off and noticed the screw that holds the disc on the throttle rod was almost off.

i hope this does not mean that you are done posting info and help! Don't let these people drive you away. This sort of crap thats been going on is the reason this site has gone from 1000+ post per day to around 400, and fading steadily!

What happens if the throttle blade screw comes off. Would it make it through the reeds to wreak havoc?

Walbro screws are staked from the back side, Tillotson screws have lock washers...If someone takes the choke shaft out to remove the ball and spring detent the screws need Loctite when re assembled...You don't do that, it's your fault when it comes loose...
Chinese carbs may or may not have Loctite..If you have a Chinese engine you should check the screw before running the engine for the first time...
If you buy a Chinese engine from someone other than an authorized dealer it's still your fault if it comes out....Authorized dealears SHOULD be checking their enignes for obvious faults before shipping...
