Hi there! please sign me in... I'm printing my Corsair drawings from RCM. A tiny .40 2 stroke sport scale model that will have a .52 2 stroke, with functional flaps and retracts.... looking forward to begin construction within the next week...
Thanks a lot!!!

Sign me up to the brotherhood I have a .60 size TF Gold Series partially built I want to rework. I traded a Goldberg Cub kit and a ST .40 (made in Italy) for this airplane. The wing is built with Robart retracts and 4 3004 Futaba servos installed. The Robart air chuck was mounted through the fuselage side with a plywood cutout glued to the outside. Its as ugly as you just imagined. The balsa skin of the wing in the inboard area needs a little rework too. I traded figuring I would at least get a good set of retracts and 4 servos out of the deal. The Corsair is an added bonus. I got the trade because they guy that had it was liquidating an R/C Estate and he hadn't been able to sell it for a year and a half. The kit and engine he sold in a week so he was happy with me getting the better value. Besides who doesn't like a Corsair?! It's a beautiful airplane in my book! I have a TF 182 I'm still working on and I will probably power the Corsair with a Super Tigre .75 with an in cowling muffler like I am on the 182. I want to add a retractable tail wheel and hook as well. I haven't decided if I want to go blue or something a little lass common as in post # 53 above.

Just picked up a pair of Corsairs, an Old Top Flight 60 Corsair that I am converting to Eflight Power 90, and a CY 93" Corsair that had been crashed, both need lots of work, but I am happy as can be, as I have always wanted a corsair or two.... Every Corsair needs a good pilot no? He is 3d printed and his head moves with rudder.

It currently has century Jet retracts, but they are faulty and need to be rebuild...and now Century Jet is no longer operating, so I am sourcing electric replacements.

Do this at your own risk... I changed mine over to electric because I was developing an air leak. This was the worst decision I could have made. My gear spend most of a year at Robart, on several different trips. They never did get them to function correctly. I went back to air, and no more problems.

If anyone is interested in a short kit for the Corsairs, let me know, finishing up the Giant Scale one right now, the 60 size is all set, and I can print out plans if needed. Still working on getting the 60 sized ones scanned, they are 4" wider than my scanner. I also have the Giant P-47 available.
After a the time spent getting the part just right I could probably build this bugger in my sleep.

Other than graphics and adjusting the tail wheel connections, my .60 size is all ready for the field. Final weight is a bit on the heavy side at 12.1 pounds, but I think the Saito 120R3 will get it off the ground on a 3 blade. If not a 2 blade will do the job.
