Nice Draken, I can't tell that's a full scale or a model. It looks just amazing. I am looking forward to test fly this XL shortly. I am sure it would be a great flier. Just had a 1/6 F-16 cockpit kit from FB installed. They are compatible, but the factory is making a new cockpit specifically for this XL. Would keep you all posted. Thanks,

Mike

It's getting close to finish. We are just waiting for a larger engine. Originally I have an Acex170 for it but just switch over to an Acex 190

https://globaljet.club/products/acex...16392679194698

The first flew flights at the factory was done with a 160N size turbine. I think the 190 would give it a good high alpha slow fly by and better vertical performance. Mike

I have a ACEx 170 and just bought a ACEx 190, fantastic turbines with little or no fuss.

The F-5 is a custom painted 1/6 Feibao F-5E made and enforced for Global Jet. It has the ROCAF (Taiwan Air Force) MiG killer scheme, It has electric retracts and doors and equipped with an Acex 140, built by Rick Silz for me. I am working on 3 unique projects for the winter. Feibao Fox Turbine Glider, F-5E and XL. I would have a new Globe Cobra F-86F 1/5 2.3M showing up next month.

Mike, based on your flight testing so far what does it fly like Delta wing jet like a Mirage 2000 or F-16?

I haven’t flown it myself. Our test pilot at the factory said it’s like any delta wing jet. Very clean in the straight line flights. Can slow down easily at landing.

here are the photos of the top views.

More photos of the progress.
Ready to fly less fuel is 35.8 lbs
Got good space for the afterburner lights and drag chute. Would install drag chutes in the future. Hope to maiden it this weekend.

That looks great Mike. Nice install. At that weight the wing loading should be great. I have a Jeti Lua program written by Dave M. for operating the drag chute system that would work perfect. Can the chute be deployed electrically and avoid the air system? Good luck on the test flight.

Would fly it at Rabbit first and then go up to Eldorado next week. Try to get my turbine glider ready for it too. See you there.

There were two successful flights today. I spotted for Mike so don't have any photos. Appeared very solid in flight and I didn't see any flight issues. Low speed handling looked very good and the landings were fine. Couple of last minute things but Mike should report sometime soon.

Maiden landing at Rabbit dry lake. Had to fly gear down today due to some loose screws on the nose gear. Got that resolved for the next flights. Thanks to Rick Silz for the awesome built. It flew really nice and stable at low speed. Would shake it down more and add more flights to it. Lands at 48 mph. Stall speed set at 30 mph. It can slow down even more. Thanks to Dan, Carrie, Tom, and Tony for helping out to make this maiden possible. Spec on Global Knight F16XL 1/6. Length 2.75m Span 1.75m. Weight :35.5 lbs empty fuel. Engine :AceX 190 , Jeti DS24, 12Ch assist 900mhz back up, 1.6L main. 2Lx2 saddle tank. Gyro brake, electric retracts, Timer set at 7:30 with the center tank full at landing.
