So... What Twins are on the building boards this winter?
Been reading the threads on the TA 45 and it looks like this is the one to purchase. I would also perfer to install four strokes and have two 30 Magnums but I don't think they would have the perfoamance I'm looking for. Next step up for me would be OS 52s but I think that may be to much power. I do have one OS 32 so I may have to buy another. Want to install flaps and retracts ( bashing a kit is fun). BTW, those 30 Magnums are installed on a TF DC-3 with Robart retracts, no flaps, 8 3/4 lbs, with many flights. Power is marginal, but has the flight characteristics of full scale DC-3s, C47s, R4Ds in which I have many hours.

Good news for you also. Northeast Aerodynamics also supplies the T-A as the Twin-Air 25. it is 58" span, 43" long, with 625 sq" area.
But it would be a shame to ground your Douglas Commercial model Three.
He said a "Three is easy to taxi" - He's insane, to the Maxi.

next winter ;A Ziroli DC3 with 4 stroke engines of which I haven't decided yet...anybody else doing a Ziroli DC3 out there??

The picture is a Northeast Aerodynamics kit, named the "Twin-Air." it can be had for either 40-46 engines or in a 20-30 size. It is not an ARF, but it's an easy kit to build.
Tiwnstar, no. As much as anything it is a simplified Duellist 2/40.
With a twin from your shop, you're always on top.

Got a twin Stick off e-bay to add to the "to build pile"
so after I finish my ultimate (at the covering stage) then the fazer I think I'll do this one
all I have to do now is save up enough for the engines/radio
with twins to build, you better be skilled
....

Steve, w/s will be about 163" (full scale is 95'). I'm estimating 50 lbs. based on Ziroli builders' experience.
Tail is finished and I'm now drafting (Acad) fuse structure (everything will be built-up balsa/ply with fiberglass covering). Lastly, since I couldn't find radial engines powerful enough, it looks like I'll be going with a couple of MVVS gassers (no experience, but have heard great things about their reliability).

I seem to be the "Poet Laureate" of the forae, not that there was ever any competition for the position - no sane person would want it - I will say your "Skilled Builder" couplet sustains the high standard of the doggerel I've been pushing.
Expensive twin project and your wife says no, it
might be cheaper to become a poet.
(Rod McKuen anyone? Surely not John Greenleaf Whittier.)
