Wings fit flush with fuse on top surface and leave a little gap under...like my own aeroplane
Tailplanes same-flush across the top, with a bigger gap on the underside []
I'm sure it will fly great

RE: Bandit ARF arrives!
Dave, I got my wings to align perfectly with the fuse outline[8D] . Also, got the stabs front pin receptacle to align up with the front pin well enough to ease extraction...now I am happier
Sandor; Call BV for a new set of servo covers. or just sand them out, I know it's a PITA [:@].....

Sorry-didn't mean it to hurt!
I'm not a rep..that's my Composite ARF hat-I do sell BVM products and anyone buying from me will get my 100% attention!
I was disapointed with the sizing of my hatch covers, but the thickness was OK
As Ehab says go back to where you bought it and I'm sure they will sort it out.
Regards

RE: Bandit ARF arrives!
David,
I am flying a 12 year old Maverick with a P-60 and it flys great but is a little on the heavy side. I am trying to make up my mind between the Super Bandit (Balsa) version , or the new Bandit ARF. Navy Diamond Back version. The 1k price difference between the "Go Fly" price is my problem. I need some answers to help me decide. I want my next turbine to fly slower and land slower
but will fly with no problems on a P-60.
If I have to go with the ARF version then OK, I just want to know I am going to end up with what I wanted and the 1k price difference will be worth it.
Question: will the P-60 be enough for the Balsa Bandit?
Can I use JR 8411 servos's on either one or if I choose the Bandit ARF, will I have to use the JR 94 series servos? If there is a problem using 8411 on the ARF version is it because the 8411 are slightly larger and will not fit correctly?
Are the fuel capicity the same?
thanks
Art

I have not flown a wooden SB, but from what I have seen the flying is very close to the ARF SB. Both models will fly fine with a P60. The Wood SB will need building light to keep the weight close to the ARF final weight, it's very light.
The ARF will allow the use of 8411's on everything except elevators, which need 34- series servos (or 94- with mod's) You have to trim the rudder and aileron wood mounts to fit the larger servos.
I really like the way the ARF flies, but the fit and finish will never be as good as a well built Balsa or Composite SB. The wood SB must fly just like it as its the same span.
The extra money comes down to time-I could build an ARF in 2 weeks spare time-I would guess a balsa SB would take 2 months of the same spare time.
All the accessories are the same (except oleo legs) so the money is all in the airframe-how much would the paint job be? in the UK around the $1000 for a really good job.
Hope this helps

RE: Bandit ARF arrives!
David,
thanks for your quick response and letting me know about the servos. I am just confused about the three versions of the Bandit. The Bandit ARF, the Super Balsa Bandit, and the composite Bandit. I will call BVM and try to get some qnswers as to which one would be the best for me working with the P60. Right now I am taking your advice and leaning toward the ARF version. Have not heard any bad characteristics of this plane.
thanks again,
Art................

Hey Sandor. Ali Here. I can not answer on my lap top as Virgin Atlantic went and lost it for me.
Missing you here in the Florida Sunshine. Maybe next year???
Anyway. Do you want me to speak to the guys from BV, and arrange it so I go and collect a set of servo covers for you???? I will bring them back with me next week or if you are in a rush I will arrange to ship them direct to you from here, Just let me know. Also if there is anything else that you need just let me know and I will take care of it for you while I am here.
No need to go to "The Daddy" I will try my best to help

RE: Bandit ARF arrives!
I set my CG about 3/4" BEHIND recommended. Elev throw right on, aileron: set it at three rates 100% factory then 80% then 70%. Flaps at 37 degrees max. No mixing needed for flaps. Slows down a lot but keep power on till almost touch down. You'll love it!!!
Did you re inforce the LG area? I did for extra safety. Also, make sure you add the poly ply plates in the wings....Good luck!

with poly plates what do you mean?
you mean beneath the landing gear to save the wing when the flex plates break?
