You are in danger of getting your plane run over by a GeeWizBee supporter. Or better yet a person who thinks you should support the profile your flying.
I was thinking of comming. Can I come if I hate glow fuel?

Right
Exactly, Chuck. Most of us know that the park is named for the father of GWB, GHWB. But some of us are ignorant of our past profiles. Now I know what the H stands for.

You guys are TOO FUNNY! I am new to the brotherhood, and will be in Houston. Trying to get a couple of friends too.
If I have to drive on William Jefferson Clinton Parkway every time I cross Arkansas, you can come to GHWB park to fly!
Hey, what is the maximum number of Profile Brothers we might expect in Houston? Is the flying field pretty nice? And is there room for RV's?

Flying field...
Is awesome...Plenty of covered pit area with set-up tables, paved runway but lots of grass, too. Great little clubhouse, nice restrooms..mens and ladies...with plumbing!!
But I don't think you can camp there...ask Texas 3D.
I've just been there once, but I really thought it was a fine place to fly.

No Camping or RV allowed to stay over night. The field is in a public park, it closes at dark, and they lock the gates.
There are pently of places to park your RV, just not at the field. Bummer, I know.

I thought we where going to have our dinner and get together saturday night. It's up to you though. Maybe we can do both.
And yes, YNOT is right : No RV Parking. Sorry ! I am pretty sure you can find something close by.
As for the total # of pilots I am still confused, but I am estimating so far at least around 30 + .
Should be a blast.
The field is just awesome ! 100+ acres of flying field with all the goodies (clubhouse, workbenches, restrooms, ac outlets, water, speaker system, BBQ grills, etc.) You guys will love it.

Dinner reservations?
Should we make dinner reservations somewhere in the area for 30+ people in advance? 30 pseudo-rowdy RC nerds are a bunch to handle and Burger King ain't my idea of grub!
An establishment that serves beer should be the starting point...

I hope you're not alluding to the monsoon-like weather. Surely it will be cleared off by then! (It rains pretty heavily there..and the flying field is in a flood control basin).
jsonin..man if I'm a nerd, then there are some seriously depraved people coming.
Ulf..trasher plane?? What, you thought I was bringing something NICE??

Juhan, I will make reservations at a close by restaurant (steakhouse) for a bunch of people. I think we might have our own room. And yes Beer among other fine drinks will be served.

I'd love to do it in the dark in Houston, Just say the word! Nothin' beats hovering (or at least trying) a plane by the glow of the GlowWires!
