RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread
Hi Bob,
Nice installation. Do you use the Batshare for your receiver?
I check the bell mouths on the planes that's waiting to go out, some planes come with them some don't. Not sure whether they are standard or not. They have a lot of quality problems lately, over 60% of the shipment that we got for our club members suffered either damages or missing parts. There were even a plane that came in with 2 main wheels of different sizes! They are not very consistent in maintaining quality and delivery schedules.
I have given my F15 to another club member because he's been waiting to get his for over 6 months due to constant problems with FE production. I am still waiting for my F15 even after they told me that it's been shipped 2 months ago. Good things that most of our club members received their planes, except me. Don't worry about your RAFAEL. it's loaded in a container to California last week.

Mike,
For the 7 and 8 channel FASST receivers on big planes and jets, I've been using the Smartfly Powerbox Sport. On that box, the two power inputs are simply either end of a bus bar. For those, I just use a single battery and regulator. I've been using the Fromeco regulators and a single battery in most of my planes for 3 or 4 years now and never had a problem.
I emailed Flyeagle and they told me that the pipe should have come with a bell mouth and I should not fly the plane without it. They are going to send me one. I have gone direct to them for a few replacement parts and they have been excellent in getting them out via DHL and into my hands within 3 or 4 days. They must have a different group of folks doing the packing as mine was definately missing the bell mouth and it sounds like missing parts is fairly common...

BTW, I just noticed that Keith mounted his servos to the aluminum mounts without any grommets. The screws that FEJ supply are too short to mount them with grommets, so I substituted other bolts for the stab servos. Are others planning on not using grommets too?

for those of you who have flown the f-15 .
where was the neutral stab position , using the recomended cg location.
ie- was trailing edge of stab above or below rear fuse tip
thanks for the info!!!
rhklenke- you do not use the rubber servo grommets, - that is to be solid mounted to reduce servo movment causing slop in stab linkage..plus servos only use grommets for reduction in vibration and in turbine applications you can hard mount all servos if you chose to.

Phantoman,
I know it because FEJ has offered me the F-15C with the dorsal airbrake as an option!

Hi nt flyer,
$ 100 for the dorsal airbrake plus $ 50 for an optional factory installation - read my message on the 1st page of this thread!
BTW: I've ordered the F-15C (1/9) scale cockpit from Skymaster now, because I can't believe that it doesn't fit into the FEJ F-15C as well. I don't like ghost flyers! [:@]

Thanks Ecstasy. After posting I did re-read and answer my own question!
I have ordered my F15 kit, so should be here in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!!
The airbrake was not offered as an option for me, but as standard fit, with the extra $150.
I wish I had got the SM cockpit a couple of weeks ago, before the price hike [:@]
Love to see some pics of your F15. What colour did you order?

RE: Fly Eagle F-15 (1/9) Building Thread
Well, we started to get Louie's FEJ F-15 ready to fly at Kentucky Jets this afternoon. Louie was fueling it and he yelled "hey Dad, we're leaking fuel here!" Fuel was squirting out of the main tank around the fuel stopper and filling up the bottom of the jet. We worked on it for two hours to get back at that tank and when we got it out, we discovered that the fuel stopper had basically crumbled into many pieces. I'll post some pictures of it when I get back, but a warning: DO NOT USE THE FEJ FUEL STOPPERS, THEY ARE JUNK!!!
Luckly, we use DuBro 50 oz fuel tanks as our overflow tanks and one of the fuel stoppers from that worked PERFECTLY as a fuel stopper for the main tank - just use the DuBro rubber stopper with the standard FEJ hardware. As soon as I get back to Virginia, I'm going to replace the two in the saddle tanks with DuBro stoppers as well.
With that fixed, we got in the first flight. It flew FANTASTIC! Lots of comments from the guys there and the lights from Dreamworks add a lot to the plane. The fuel stopper issue and several others were a pain, but this jet is worth every penny!

Guys, does anyone have a list of the servo extension leads required? My kit is on order and I am in the process of gathering all the other gear needed.
Thanks,
Greg

I've ordered the FEJ F-15C 'Tiger Meet' because this color scheme is perfect visible in the cloudy Dutch sky!
Last week finally I've got my FEJ F-16 Advanced 'Tiger Meet' and the FEJ F-15C 'Tiger Meet' should be delivered very soon!
Just started to collect an own 'NATO Tiger Meet' squadron now...
I'll post some photos as soon as possible and let you know if the SM cockpit will fit into the FEJ F-15C as expected!

Hi All ! I am also thinking to get one of this , and I am still looking for more info about this f15c , and now I got more info on this forum , so I would like to know more info about it , here is my question .
1) I own a jr9XII radio , is it ok for using it on this plane ?
2) If I use the futaba msa-10 , Do I need a power box ?
3) which turbine is the best use on this jet ? jetcat120se or pstj1300r ?
4) How many servo use for the plane ? cos I saw this threat said can use also one servo .
5) Dose it need any other thing to put it on air ? I know fuel is must have : )
