RE: How many kits do you have right now?
Fun Thread, Let's see if I can bump it a bit...
Can't imagine how many I have bought, kept for a while, and sold thinking "I'll never build that" due to interests changing, and a general trend away from glow power to gas, and larger planes.
I am down to just a few kits now, and lots of plans and cowls / canopies.
I sure hope the current laser kit cutters last a long time. This is the future for builders.
Kits in the closets now:
Proctor Nieuport 28
Executive Designs Monocoupe 90A (1/4)
Byron Ryan ST
Concept Models Fleet (1/4) x2 (1 for sale)
Walt Moucha Models Brown B2 Racer
Bridi Cosmic Wind
Airtronics Aquila
Craft Air big glider of some sort (under the bed, not getting it out)
Flair Tigermoth (1/4) (Buy youself one of these now, if you have any interest at all!)
Comet Sailplane (big O/T)
Focke Wulf FW 190 A8, Don Smith (from some kit cutter)
Great Plane Ultimate 160 will go on floats!
Under Construction:
Jim Messer (not Meister) (Now Reids Quality Models) 1/4 scale Ercoupe (active project)
Ziroli P-40 (semi active project)
Craft Air Viking sailplane (inactive project)
1/3 scale Fleet (purchased project)
Hatz Biplane, 1/1 scale, Lycoming O-290
Flying:
CG Yak 54, Brison 2.4
Comp ARF 33% Extra, DA 85
Yokosuka D4Y "Judy" 95 inch warbird
Sig 1/4 scale Spacewalker (fibbing - needs a little repair work)
About to fly:
Hangar Nine 1/4 Taylorcraft ARF, CRRC 40.
Extreme Fight electric Yak (small)
That was fun... great way to take inventory!

RE: How many kits do you have right now?
if i had so many kits like you guys i would probably walk the street thinking everything is RC....
i'm working on one airplane at a time other wise they all gonna be in the middle of the build, priority to the one that closest to flight condition.
no kits under the bed now, it makes me obsessed about building them and no space in manhattan apartment.
flying airplanes:
sig midstar
sig 4* 40
flew and ready for gear and fly:
tower trainer
GP easy sport 40
in repairs:
sig 4* 60
under construction:
GP ultra sport 60

RE: How many kits do you have right now?
I've got about 8 kits, 2 or 3 "short" kits, and 4 or so sets of plans. I like to collect kits and planes that I would like to build. Kits are also getting scarce and pricing is going way up.

cls8995,
What type of flying do you like to do? Please give us an idea of what type of kits you prefer and I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction...

RE: How many kits do you have right now?
How many kits? Just one, and it's on its way! But then, I'll very likely spend the next two years working on this kit!
This brings up another interesting question relative to this thread: How many kits do you BUILD in a year?

RE: How many kits do you have right now?
I have two........One is my kadet senior (undergoing repairs) and I have a little Ben Buckle Outlaw kit as well.
If I had the money at the moment, I'd buy the Sig LT40 kit as well.

RE: How many kits do you have right now?
Have built...
1. Sig Somethin Extra
2. Midwest Starduster
3. Bridi Super Kaos KIA RIP
4. Sig Liberty Sport
5. Sig Hog Bipe
Framed up Ace 4.120 monoplane still in progress
Putting finishing touches to a Sig Kougar ready to fit out for radio gear, bout a week from being finished if my paintwork is ok after I take masking off!
under the bench I have a Sig King Kobra which is my next build then followed by Great Planes Ultrasport 60 which is stashed away awaiting a retract purchase decision.
Also have an NIB Top Flite Hot Kanary kit for next year.
I love building as much as flying, they go hand in hand for me,also have ARF's like a Venus II etc that would be just too much work to build for the money, but nothing feels better than maidening a plane that you have crafted youself from pieces of wood!
Cheers guys, good luck with all your builds.

have more but mind has gone blank, will not mention the arf mostly giantscale planes and cmp and about 300 plane from sport pattern and scale.
The bad part to all of these is that for quite awhile I would buy the engine and retacts etc to go with the scale kits so I have quite a few new but out dated engines and retracts.ie rhom goldberg sonic tronics etc
