Ron L, if you come down next year, you must BRING THE GONG! The weather really went downhill from what you've seen... Thanks for posting both vids!... Here are sumore pics: The JetMach that did the inflight video (I think), and a pic inside of our Aircraft Maintenance Tent.

What an event inspite of the rain. I think most had a good time. 50 pilots signed up, there would have been more but the weather stopped some from coming.
Larry Garrett the CD and the Waco club asked me to say thanks to all that attended. Sorry the weather did us in Sat. and especially sorry for the ones that drove and flew long distances. Joey flew in from Miami, put his Ultra Bandit together and never got a chance to fly it so it went back into my trailer for the trip to Atlanta in two weeks.
108 5 gallons cans (3 pallets) of fuel were delivered to the field Sat. morning. About 60 cans were sold then and the balance of them (48 cans) were loaded in my trailer for the trip to Atlanta. I hope I don't get stopped by the highway patrol and they look in the trailer and see all that kero. I hope no one slipped in a bag of fertilizer in the trailer. Homeland Secruity would have a have a field day with that.
Thanks to Bob Price and Chic Kazen for the Thursday pig roast with potatoes, corn on the cob and baked beans
Thanks to Randy Brown and Bomber Field for pizza party Friday evening. I think 35 pizzas were consummed
Thanks to Dawn Ellzey and Vernon Montgomery and others for breakfast at the field Fri and Sat mornings.
The next jet event in Texas will be held in Breckenridge TX the weekend of Oct. 25th It is at a full scale airport and hopefully the maiden flight of the B-1B bomber will take place.
States represented at the event

Well I have to thank Larry for pulling me out of the mud. The ol burban stinks with all the wet stuff that was in it. For me the one good thing about the rain it keep me from having to fly again after the F-15 almost went in still can't figure out what happened. I guess my pilot didn't want to do the right hand pattern
Can't wait tell next event

Bob come by Shreveport and pick me up one more jet in the trailer I can make a crate so all the kero doesn't fall on it.
David R
Come on. That was impressive you pulling out the trailer. The beats that were flying around when you were getting ready to pull however in my defence my suburban is lowered and only two wheel drive. It was a chevy that pulled me out it didn't even throw a spec of mud as it pulled me out of the standing foot of water. Twice back then foward

I just had ta yank your chain. You were also in an area that did not have much of a bottom to it. There was some gravel at least under where my truck was the trailer did get drug through the mud though. I heard later that the RV next to mine tried to pull out and sunk up to the axles.

I really wish I could, but with 31 fives of kero and the crate for Joey's Ultra Bandit in the trailer, there is absolutely no room on the floor. I had to remove one of the shelves, take the UB out of the crate and put it on the top shelf with my Boomer then put all of my support stuff in the crate. Along with that there will be 19 cans of kero in my Burb. So next Tuesday if anyone hears a big "Ka-boom" somewhere between Austin and Atlanta it was me.
David, if you can find someone to haul all the kero, I can take both your's and Buck's stuff with me.
