I have been into the club for a while, posting and absorbing a good ammount of experience from many of you and with all respect I learned a lot from Bill, I never asked for a number of member and know that for some reasons been a memeber of this club is imoportant.
Now I am asking for a number of membership if I am approved.
I only have six saitos one of them sick but parts are coming to fix it and have it in top conditions.
My saitos are:
Saito 40 flying a very nice Tiger moth Kit from Gee Bee
Saito 72 Two of them, one in a Nice 40 size Kyosho Pitts and One in a New Venus 40 size.
Saito 82 Flyin an Hangar 9 Funtana
Saito 91 (Sick) but will keep pulling my Great Planes Cap 232 40 size kit.
Saito 100 Flying a very nice Hangar 9 Texan AT6
Thanks.
Alfred.

Al, is your Saito .40 the new .40a or the older .40 with the bell shaped air intake on the carb, Thanks
Sorry, that is not exactly the pic. I wanted, the silver engine is the newer .40A, the GK is the newer .30.

It is the new version, I bought it 2 years ago and I like it a lot, it flies my little Tiger Moth very realistically and has never had a death stick, it is installed in a inverted position an runs great.

The 62 has a 26.2 mm bore and the 56 has a 24.8 mm bore. Both engines have a 19 mm stroke.
There amounts to considerable difference between the two engines when you look at the parts.
The bottom line is that the 62 has many parts similar to that on the 72 as regards to the cam area and cylinder. Also the rear bearing is common with the 72. The carburetor is more related to the 56.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Thanks blw!!
This is the Tiger Moth that we were talking about yesterday.
Saito 40a
Prop: 11 x 7
Gee Bee models Kit.
I did a few modifications, like two aileron servos and bolted interplane struts, this plane is now two years old and is one of my favorites that I commonly use to take to the field on calm days, and this plane does not like windy days.
Thanks again blw
Al.

If you have a decent bathroom scale, weigh yourself with and without the plane; don't move your feet.

I do not know if you were refering to the Tiger Moth but the total weight of this plane is 4.25 lbs. with all components and engine with a dry tank.
I still have one kit in home, now I know that it is discontinued.

Thank you P47 Jug - Al for your kind words; your user name reminds me that I have a P-47 top Flite Gold edition .60 size in home waiting to be built, it will be a winter project, by now I need to fly, fly and fly, I am happy to say that I fixed my Saito .91S engine changing only the HS Needle valve and adjusting the valves.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
I acquired a Saito 72 Golden knight. I need some help getting it tuned in. It runs up at about 9000 rpm but, it smokes. I've tried to adjust the needle and air screw. no change.
