Mario & DJ,

That is such a great looking plane. Mario, what are you using to balance her? I found this & it will handle planes up to 65 lbs: http://www.ezbalancer.com/id68.html

Don't forget to purchase the "Super Size Kit"

Mario,

Please post pics of you balancing it with the EZ Balancer. I'm curious to see how well it works.

Saul

All,

I found a GREAT VIDEO!!!!!! It is Tommy's establishment and all of his workers. Kind of reminds me of Santa's workshop. Check out the Cessna that is almost finished as well as the DC-3's.

Hello Mario
Welcome to the club. You are going to enjoy flying the bird. I got my brakes for the plane from Glennis Aircraft. They work pretty well. It does not stop on a dimde but it does stop. I have about 6 flights on mine now getting her ready for Joe Naul.
The people who being their Cessna's to the Joe Nall are going to be big hits & have their pics in the magazines.

Lookls like another quality product from Tommy. They fly so well. I hope to get some go vid of mine at Joe Nall. I have almost all the rest of the detail work done on her. I just need to find a cheap light weight (well I guess I really dont care about the weight.... the plane will carry it) scanner so I can pick up local air traffic. You will only be able to hear it on the gound but it would be cool. I am adding a funictioning glass dash to her which will scroll weather radar along with your basic fight functions. I need to find a small compass to put in the plane as well. No more secerts before The Nall.

Mario,

<span style="font-size: small">Why are you asking such a question; you trying to chump me out!!!

My Brother, that kick a** 7955 is all the servo you need. Actually, only a 250oz is recommended from the Man himself: Tommy. Now if you just wish to spend some unnecessary money, like I do all the time, then go for it. But she is ready to fly just as she was before you picked her up...

Now, go fly

Go with DJ's set up. There is no need to change anything. Tommy has done a great job in the r&d on the plane. You only need the 1 servo. This is not an aerobatic plane. Just put her up you wont have any problems.

Hi Mario,

Yes I am sure one servo is ample for this Cessna. I am only using two servos for extra redundancy. As we can all appreciate this model is worth a few bucks and I wanted to be sure that if for any reason i lost an elevator servo I could still land with the second servo operating the opposite elevator half and land the plane safely.

Enjoy your new aircraft Mario and be nice to her. She is a marvellous model aircraft and will bring you many years of enjoyment.

Happy Landings!

Steve - Melbourne, Australia.

They are the ones I have on my bird. I went out and measured the full scale wheel and then convereted it to the scale of our birds. I gave Glennis the tire hight and width. If you order them just tell Dennis you need the same ones he made for George Hunter's Cessna in Auburn. There brakes work ok on the bird. It does not stop it on a dime but it does stop it as long as you are not over say 1/4 throttle or so.

Shark,

Was yours the $535 that Super Mario quoted or was it around the $400 range?

Thanks,

More like the $600 something range. About the cost of a new set of tires for my 4Runner.

If you guys would refer to my previous posts regarding the Grummania jet wheel brakes which are made compatible with Tommy's wheels he supplies in the kit. These are the Sullivan Skylite 7" wheels. Assuming this is what you are using.

The only mods i did were drilled to 8mm and I made up new axles which I am sure you could have made up to your requirements locally in the USA. Since we have a lathe at home it was easy enough to make these up ourselves.

If you need any info just ask.

Now why are you tring to be like me...... The real trick is to get everything out of the full scale bird and put it in the little one. That is what I did with mine. You still got a long way to go Mario. You still need the control lock, fuel strainer, flight bag, air worthy cert., aircraft reg., the list goes on and on. But you will get there. I am getting a new dash as well I am sending over the specs today.

Mario are you coming down to Joe Nall? We can do a little flying together.
