ORIGINAL: RiCeY

25/55 is directly vertical on the engine mount ie 12 and 6 oclock if the mount were a clock haha

And yes 19/61 is fine also
Maybe this will help you out as you try this gear configuration. If not then give Ricey a call as he has it working.

Thanks

My problem is not "Where To mount it". My problem is that I was using the wrong pitch pinion[:@] I know for sure that once I get a 48P in there it will work.

Pitch=How many teeth per inch...i think. Theres 32P,48P and 64P. You can really tell the difference between the three.

All that I have read says 48p meteric....what is with the meteric? I understand they are made across the pond so to speak but 48pitch meteric to me sounds like it is a normal 48pitch gear with meteric grub srcew which won't matter as far a pitch is concerned.

There was someone on here that called and talked to a tech at Tamiya and they were told (I think) it was 48p meteric. That got some to thinking that the pitch is meteric but to me I think just the set screw threads are and not the gear teeth. I have also read on some other sites where it was stated they were 46pitch which I think was a wrong key stroke

Now I may be wrong on this and if so someone that KNOWS the truth as to gears on the TT-01 please help out.

Thanks

If you look in your manuals, you will see that the hop-up options for pinion gears are as follows

18/19 - part #50355
20/21 - part #50356
22/23 - part #50357

It doesn't say in the manual or on the website what the pitch is for these pinions but if you type these numbers into the search on Tower Hobbies, it says 62.

Hope this helps!

62? 62P? Theres no such thing as 62P.

Guys, try and compare a 48P pinion with the spur as see if the teeth match up....hold them side by side.

xFlames: TT-01 uses 32P. Problem solved. Tamiya TT-01 Pinions are 32P and they should work for you.

That pinion set in the link should work, because they should be 32P.
