Yes - I forgot, like Haddi Taha said about balancing the weight on the car, keep that balanced! The left and right side of the car needs to be the same. If not, driving it under high speeds is very difficult keeping it in a straight line.

New pics of the Exotek EX05 car -
While I was saving the pictures, I noticed that the heat sink is anodized a different shade of blue, even though I got it from Tamiya. Weird, eh?

RE: The Official Tamiya TA05 Thread
I don't know about the mod class; I tried once to convince enough people at the track to race mod, with no luck. The most popular class is the stock spec class, and then the GT class is next here with a handful of people. After I converted my ver.IIR into the EX05, I noticed a huge difference in weight and rigidity. There are a lot of Cyclones, but there's no TRF cars. I can run with the best of them there, and I think both classes are fast enough. We'd need a different layout (longer straights) or a larger track for mod class.

Yup, I agree. All that power, and it can't be used without asking for a crash. They don't crash too well at high speeds - do they Haddi?

Here's my Tamiya TA05.
So glad I have one, I traded my 4wd slash to get it. Boy he must have invested a bit of dough....
I rebuilt the diffs last night and put left over tugsten carbide diff balls in the rear. Smooth as silk....

@dragnse7en Hey man, are you still interested in buying my IFS-R? I don't really use it anymore and I want it to go to a good home

Hi guys I' have a tamiya ta05 vdf 2 and I need a new rear drive belt but can't find the right size. Anyone know the size or if the original ta05 vdf belt would fit for it

RE: The Official Tamiya TA05 Thread
It's been a while since i was on this thread, but i FINALLY went lipo for my 7500kv Brushless TA05 and am trying to pick up on the important performance aspects i ignored for way too long (for example, i just balanced my wheels.....) and i was wondering..... What difference do dish wheels and a racing body do? Would it be worth it? Right now i just about always run without a body at all, and always had scale bodies in the past and i'm not entirely convinced that was the best idea..... For starters i was looking at this one. Thoughts?

and if you have any other thoughts, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.</p>

Hello guys I am currently doing som local racing with my TA05MS, and am wondering a little about the diffs in this car. It has a ball diff in the rear, and i use the spool diff in the front because of the increased braking and traction. But i really want to try the tamiya gear diffs, and i dont know which to buy. I see that there is some different types to choose from, does anybody know what the main differences are between them?
