Hobby Town only had the airbrush type of paint and Hobbyworks didn't have anything

Is there anyplace online or any other chain hobby stores that will have it?
You got a "The Hobby Company" near by? If not than just do a search online or try Tower Hobbies.

I just found it on Tower Hobbies! The only thing is, the paint that they show isn't for lexan...this won't work for car bodies will it? Everyone I've talked to at the hobby stores that I go to have told me that if I use anything other than lexan paint (they carry pactra paint) then it will end up chipping and falling off because it doesn't seal to the lexan.

Are they full of S*?

Just make sure it can be used on plastic. Plastic pain can chip to due to poor paint job. You need to prep the car perfectly before painting.

Not to sound stupid, but how do you prep the paint for non-lexan paint? I know how to do it for lexan (soapy water and let dry for a couple hours...)

Is it any different for plastic paint?

To prep body before painting:

1. Wash with warm soapy water using scuff pad

Thats it! Make sure it is completely dry before painting. What paint are you gonna use?

That's all incorrect. The paint has to be compatible with lexan/polycarbonate (same thing). No matter how well you prep the body (which you are supposed to do anyway) non-compatible plastic modelling paint will eventually crack and look terrible. You need to use some of the many brands of polycarb. paints in order to get the paint to flex with the body. Eberyone you phoned was on the ball.

Also; it is illegal to send an aerosol can through the post. However; it is also illegal for the post office to open your parcel, so just find someone willing enough to send it and hopefully you'll be fine.

BTW Tamiya tinting or 'smoke' paint is under the code PS-31 (PS=Polycarb. Spray)

Anything else I can help with?

Chris

Wonder if anyone can help...

I've installed a trinity D4 9X2 motor and Mtronics pro digi ESC which is hardwired to the motor, but the ESC uses different battery connectors to the battery. I don't want to cut the connecters from the battery because they won't fit the charger, and the ESC wires look too thick to attach to the standard battery connection block.

Any suggestions?

You have to change the charger to a Deans Plug end as well. Atleast that's what I did!

BTW, the female end of the deans plug goes on the battery. That way you're not shorting out batteries

Does anyone in here have any experience buying anything from Rcmart.com? I've heard from others that there not one company to deal with if orders are wrong and also that there isn't a way to contact them. Unless it's through an e-mail, is that true? They have a lot of aluminum parts i'd like to get and from what i could find they seem to be the only ones to get them from? Any other options?

I bought a bunch of stuff from rcmart.com

I didn't have any problems with the order at all. The only problem that I had was that it took almost 3 weeks for the order to arrive! I'm impatient as hell and that was a killer

The only contact I had with them was through email and that was very limited.
