ORIGINAL: Uncle Vinnie

The GTR looks awesome!!!!
I love the plain look, just like a realistic car.
Don't get me wrong, the work and graphics on some cars are just unbelievable. How it's done it's beyond me, and I can really appreciate what they do.
However, I'm still a fan of realistic looking street cars
Thanks, yeah, the GTR is a nice base look. I grabbed some 3Racing brake disks which look wicked, only shame is that the front ones just fown the wishbones on full lock, so they have to be removed to be able to run the car at all. Still, good for looking good as a shelf queen! Need to grab a Budy Tuner kit now the the wing mirrors.

Cheers!

if your running on the road/parking lot, watch out for pebbles that get stuck in the front & rear diff area and wearing a hole in the drivebelt. I've done the dremel mod and a few others have as well (pics in this thread) to resolve this issue. Other than that I'd say have a blast with it....it's a great car. And do us a favour when you get it.....post some pics!!!

nope. they are to short.cause when you tilt the car the bones slide out and disconnect from the cups[]. so i will try the universals they should work. heres a pic of the stock dogbones that came with the sprint stock.see them out of the cups

reminds me of my frustration last weekend when i bought wheel extenders for my AX10.....the front installed fine but since i have the ARTR version my rear end uses a different axle than the kit version. Of course Integy doesn't mention that their extenders was only designed for the kit version. So i ended up having to order some new axles so the wheel extensions would work.[]

I may eventually get the ball diffs for my sprint 2 so definitely good to know i'll need the universal dog bones.

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting a sprint 2 flux, and have one question. How fast will it go top speed right out of the box? Traxxas has a brushless off road car that's supposed to go like 70mph. Will the flux do this? I like the flux a lot better, but I crave high top speeds.
Thanks

I craved top ends too, but when you start hitting those high speeds you will have to be replacing many parts and another thing is handling and where can you run that car.
I was trying to make my HPI RS4 run high speeds but then I guess I chickend out after wrecks I would get into on my street and the loss off acceleration, so what Ima do now is gear my car back down for fast launch. If you want to race real cars you can still smoke them, I now bought my son a Sprint 2 Flux with the New Mustang body, what i like about it cus I also bought theCastle Creatins USB and can control the speed, my son only being 8yrs old cant yet handle an rc car at high speeds quite yet.

What I didnt like about the Flux is that on the box it olny claims like high 30's low 40's MPH, I do wish it was faster and hope that Castle can make that happen. If not than I will make it happen with gearing and then a new Castle Brushless set up and I do hope that the car and chassis can handle the power which I doubt it can cus there are too many plastic parts on the gearings and diff's.

If anyone is intrested on a HPI rs4-3 18ss Stage-D drift car, see the pics in my profile, let me know if you like and I will post it on Ebay by mid April.

Surely wanting 60+ is not much use unless you intend to drive in long straight lines all day? If you are going to drive a course and take corners and even race against other cars, then handly and eacceleration are more important?

Cheers!

Yes, if you race on a track your bst bet is to make your car handle better and accelerate faster. your suspencion will have to be a tad bit more stiff to take corners quick. But if you make your car for high speed youll have to soften it up so it wont get all jumpy on the road.

yeah if you make it for handling and not just straight lines the car will be more fun to drive around.

yeah when you have a 60 mph car it doesn't even seem like it has 4WD anymore

a gyro would help with that though
