fierro1 I had the same issue with my rudder. BUT my buddy pointed out the problem. In my case it was the alignment pin hole on the fuselage. I took a round file and sanded away some material. Now it fits good, no extra washers needed.
When I would screw the rudder in the pin would get pulled down towards the front and lift the back causing my gap.
also glad to see the weight in the 22lbs range.

I don't know if anyone did any videos. Someone decided to do a family picture and started rolling them all together.
There is also a picture of them with the new EA Rayzr but I think it is on the EA Facebook page, I don't have a copy of it.

Thought I would add this photo for those thinking about engine size. I suggest a light engine because you’re going to need ballast to get CG. This thing assembles super tail heavy. After a little over a half pound I’m at 23.23 lbs full UAT, empty tank, back of wing tube

What is everyone doing for flight packs. I’m having a hell of a time getting the packs into the nose.
I am currently trying to use 2 2s 4000 smart pack RX (spektrum G1) and a 3s 5200 Lipo for turbine pack.

Wing set is on its way! I bought two AR 6200mha 7.2. They fit perfectly in the front nose. A few benefits are their “heavy” and the leads or on top for better wire management. Being heavy also adds to usable nose weight.
The swiwin 120 by itself is 3lbs (2.97)
Should have the build finished up by the end of January.

Shame there is not more participation in build threads on EA planes, it would be nice seeing others assembly pictures. Looking forward to Qcsteve's finished plane. I guess its just the slow death of this platform. Good luck everyone I'm out.

Still working on my build. Just installed the fuel vent and currently arranging the radio system. Going to start on the wing soon. It’s looking like it will be finished in Feb now.

I attempted to install a smoke system but decided not to. Installing a large enough tank with pump and battery was not worth the extra weight in my opinion.
The larger BDX does have a smoke tank in the back under the turbine.

If one was to use side tanks it would probably cover up the air intake on the sides. There is room above the tank and forward under the canopy.
as far as smoke being worth it. For me it comes down to the capacity of the smoke tank. I had a 32 oz that was going to go into the jet but just didn’t want to have “clutter” or need to remove to access equipment.
have you ordered or working on a BDXs? I’d like to see your color scheme
