The only mix your thumbs can't do is the elevator up full spoiler and elevator down full flaps or the reverse of these. I used to try to mix for KE with my Flip and could really only get it right for one air speed and rudder input. More or less rudder or speed and the mix was wrong anyway. I toyed with clipping my tips but my shaking hand dropped the Xacto knife. I removed these KE mixes and started flying the corrections. It took a couple of tanks to get used to it but I don't use them at all any more. I also removed all of my exponential and found everything much easier. Your brain nor thumbs work exponentially so the radio Expo just confused the correction issue for me. It takes a few tanks to retrain your center stick bleed but it is worth it. Just make sure you use a low rate for landing at first with expo if you need it. Save the mixes for the Elevator to Flap mixes that you can't do with your thumbs.

Theres my 2 cents.

the big hair dryer is a fibreclassics TOC extra with DA 150 in it. (here is a picture of Ali's one which was same spec. as we bought them both together, he put stickers on his and i Fu@$d up the paint job on mine!) im on the left just about to check his rudder linkage!!

dont know how much they are (not cheap) look on the top model site or jr models

flys brill. nothing like a flip, it K/E very well and flys super light.

Ian,

What CG is your Flip set at? What's its weight? Mine is 5.5 lb (2.5 kg). CG is 150 mm behind LE. But my Flip just wing rocks too much at harrier. I already have my tips cut off, along with the ailerons too.

CG, dont have a clue!

my flip still rocks quite allot in the elevator but is soo stedy in harriers. ive got it as follows on my futaba FF6:

PMX1:
Master 2 Slave 6
-80%

PMX2:
Master 2 Slave 1
+80%

Elevator Duel rate (importanat this is), 60%

This makes my harriers brilliant

I hear ya, pal. I posted a pic of the garbage that I've gotta shoot with (just showing off, this is my other hobby).

Besides, I guess it ain't easy being a kid.

I remember how I had to work my butt off just to get a roll of Monokote. Not to mention glue, hardware and radio accessories. Hell, many times I had to wait for the hollidays, so that I could finish up a kit.

Good news is that I studied hard at school, went to college and landed a kik-***** job making damm good money. And now, I get to spend it all on myself!!! Oh, and on my girlfriend every once-in-a-while.
