Thanks Stomper, Chuck, John, Paul, and especially Swick. Swick helped me paint and clear coat the fiberglass parts. Hell, he did most of it while I asked questions and looked stupid.
I have about a gallon and a half through it so far. 3 and 1/2 to go.
Jess
Oh, jhay, the wingspan is 88 inches.

Steve, thanks for the compliment. The bigger they are, the easier they are to 3D. It is harder to stay on top of a .40 size profile. JMHO.

Do you have any pics of the inside of the plane? I have the same plane in the bones with a 3w 78b2 on it. it was the last plane I started before getting out of the hobby for a little while. I am back full bore, and getting ready to finish out the plane and need some ideas.. thanks in advance..
I posted some pics of the work in progress.

Oh, Jhay, I would recommend cutting an exit hole in the bottom of your cowl. The rule of thumb is 4 times the intake area.
Also, if you plan to 3D with it, add some baffles.

JRozman,
It would be great if you could take some photo's and either post them or send them to my email. I might be able to get an idea of what to do from them.
Thanks

Jess,
what RX batteries you running. I know duralights but what size.
Right now Mine is set up, w/ 2 Nimh for RX and 1 NiMh for igni. and 1 receiver.
I haven't weight the plane yet, Depending on weight, I will try and take some weight off of it over the winter by swapping a few things out.

RE: 30% Carden Cap Construction Pics
Hi gentlemen, very nice planes , you guys are eons ahead of me . I would like to ask a question if you would be so kind to answer. I'm building a Mirage 550 EP plane , and I'm almost finished with the 52 inch main wing , but when I lay it down on a flat surface it doesn't balance properly . I just want to know if I should be concerned with this or is this just a minute problem and I should continue building ?
PS I'm sure I'm asking the right group of people after seeing those magnificent pics . Thanks

Hi RC-FIEND,
Thanks for the kind words. I am a little confused by your question. Is it a double tapered wing? What do you mean by balance?? Do you have a camera to take pics??

RE: 30% Carden Cap Construction Pics
here are some pics of the main wing JRozman, When I place the wing on the floor it leans completely to one side, instead of perfectly balancing in the middle, should I worry about this of not ? thanks [8D]

RE: 30% Carden Cap Construction Pics
I would just keep on and cover it, then put balance weights on the wing. also was that plane a easy build? im thinking about getting this plane also and was wondering how hard it was to build. Im also thinking about putting alerions on it if I do get the plane. do you think it would be that hard looking at the wing? Thanks

RE: 30% Carden Cap Construction Pics
Thanks for the tip drivercrazy23 , Ummmm, yea this plane, in my opinion, has its difficult building sections which I think is mainly do to the poor instruction manual pictures . This is the first plane/kit I have ever built , so yes I would say a beginner could get by without any major problems. I'm pretty sure you can add ailerons to it but keep in mind this is an electric powered plane . I also think you can add glow or gas engine to it but in my opinion if you do then beef up the fuse , right now my fuse. feels very weak .
goood luck and practice hard .
