this didn't really damaged the plane, I have been able to remove the sticker easily.

but I'll give one advise here coming from my first experience using clear oracover.

DON'T PLACE CA HINGES AFTER COVERING. I made the mistake, and the CA when drying made fume inside the surfaces. This made grey zones at the position of the hinges.

on the ailerons you can see grey clouds at the position of the hinges. I added the whitte strip to mask most of them, but they are still visible

On the rudder and elevator, I reduced the lenght of hinges so they doesn't extrude the wood, but there is still a small grey zone

Hey Gator, have you experienced the problem with clear monocote and CA, or is it exclusive to Ultra? I knew CA would screw up canopy plastic, but never thought of clear covering.

SALMONBUG -

So THAT'S what was in my rudder! I built up a rudder to test some transparent red covering, covered it, hinged it, and when I looked at it later it had haze on the inside, just as you describe.

Not to fear - I fixed it by reheating it with my hot air gun - Came out clear as can be. That was using monokote. Good Luck . . .

And I was proud of myself for laying out 1 inch and 2 inch monokote checkers basically by hand, I am not worthy of plugging your monokote iron in...

heres my plane mid week...
don't add the trim after flying it for 2 1/2 months, it's bad luck.

in reality my prototype funfly wing for this plane has spars that were too soft. a simple dive ended it's good looks
