Hi TSHARK. The main wheels are the 7'' Sullivan with brakes and the front is the 6'' Sullivan.
Hi Mario. I also have the DA 150 in the plane. I will need some more nose weight though.
Thank you bothfor the nice comments.
Regards.
Martin.

Hi Martin,
Long time no speak. How far off is the Cessna from being flight ready?
The new colour scheme looks great.
I am surprised that your Cessna is Tail heavy as mine did not require any additional weight to balance.
It will be interesting to know how much your Cessna weighs in at.
Regards,
Steve

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi guys.
The 3xfive cell battery packs on the engine box aren't enough to balance the plane.
I bought one of the E-Z balancers to balancemy planes now.
I used to balance my larger planes with a friends help, since i got the balancer i have
gone back and re balanced some of my planes to find out how much more accurate the balancer is.
As mentioned in a recent post, The Cessna needs the centre of gravity to be rectified, Pilot belted in,
and re do the wires in my wing.
Then ready to fly.
Regards.
Martin.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Martin,
Just a suggestion why not use MPX (Multiplex type) connectors in your wings for the Aileron and Flap servos.
This is what I am using in my big cessna. Just one connector will enable two servos as it has six pins and is polarised to prevent reverse connection.
Then all you do is solder your servo extensions to these connectors, but be sure you match the pins on the other connector to the respective servo/s. Care must be taken when soldering these up to avoid reverse polarity.
They work really well and are a great connector.
I heard you have not used the Axles that me we made for you? Were they not up to your standards?
The axles we made for my Cessna weren't perfect but structurely they are sound and I have not since had any problem with them.
Regards,
Steve

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Steve.
The standard of the axles was good thank you, the problem was they were too short
there was no room for the nut on the undercarriage side.
I was going to use the mpx plugs and i had soldered them to the wiring on the plane side,
a freind of mine is right into RC and flies in the UAV challenge, the feed back on most plugs
especially the ones we use as standard extension leads with gold pinsetc have a short life span in regards
to pluging them in and unpluging them, so i am going to use the Ashloc plugs which have a
lot better life span and better conection.
Regards.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Martin,
I think I know why the axles were too short. I know Tommy has updated the landing gear on these Cessna's and I wonder if by chance your new Cessna had this included when it was being made. If the struts are thicker alloy to the original then that would explain it.
If that is not the case then I am unsure as I simply copied the exact dimensions from my axles I am using in my Cessna along with the brakes assembly.
I am pretty sure I included photos earlier on in this thread showing the installation for reference.
With the wheel brakes I progammed the unit for Semi Proportional brake type and I am using a slider on my radio to activate this.
I recently had the opportunity to fly off sealed runway which was a good test for the brakes. They performed as expected and are really a necessity when flying off shorter runways.
I will definately look up those Ashloc plugs.
Regards,
Steve

Does anyone in the US have one of these planes that they are not going to finish that would consider selling or trading? I've been following this thread and would like to try to get one.

What is the best way to communicate with TMMY. I am interested in the big Cessna and sent an email for info but no reply yet. I've been reading this thread and it seems like it's hard (or slow) to get a reply from them. Is email the best way, or ?
Thanks,
Dan
