Looks great Mario.

Here are some pictures Tommy just sent me of a gold 2009 color scheme that I ordered from him. I was going to get the red one but decided to go with gold since I haven't seen any like it yet.

spidernad , very nice i like this color very unit , after those pic i flew my cessna one more time and i have colission with a 1/4 scale decathlon resulting the total lose of the decathlon , my plane only suffer damage in the left wheel pan and very lucky to have my plane , we decide to flight in formation 4 plane but we get to close resulting the colission, my front wheel and left wheel pan hit my friend haft of his fuselage and wind sending his plane straight to the ground and desintegrate in pieces in the ground , i will never going to do a formation again.

Can anyone who has recived a shipment from Tommy in the USA tell me if they needed a passport? Tommy is telling me I need to send a copy of my passport to the forwarder. I don't have a passport as I've never left the country. This sounds strange...

No you do not need a passport. But customs will need your id so that our government can charge you a little bit more; to have had the pleasure of waiting on them and getting the run around. US customs now there would be a nice cut in federal spending. I have never seen another poorly run government agency than that aside from most all other federal agencies. But enough of that just sold mine it is going to TX. Tommy sent me an email he is starting on my new bird.

Congrats Adrian! Please post some pictures if you can. I should get a call tomorrow to pick mine up at customs. Can't wait.
I'm hoping to put the Rotomotor 170 4-stroke B4 in mine, should be out later this year.

Well I have talked to Tommy and he is telling me my new 182 should be ready to go by the end of the month. I am going to push to have her ready by Monster Planes this year in October. I sold my other bird to a person in TX. I talked to him this morning and he told me how much he loves it. He has gotten several flight on her already.
I am working with the CAP on this bird iin hopes of having it 100% dead nuts on. I am also working on building the perdator pod to go under the wing. I already have my cam now just need to work on the tilt and pan for it.

Good afternoon Tshark- Congrtats on the new Cessna - i am in the middle of building my35% tmmy cessna right now- i saw you had your white one for sale- so here is my ?.

why didn't you just have the white one painted in the new scheme? what was the reason for a new one if your white one was fine.... i notice on mine the kit was much different then Mario's red one - the flaps were changed to a different style- they dont hang off the wing as scale- i think the first issued kits from tmmy were great - im not so sure i like the changes- also the engine mount on the new issue kits have too much down thrust in them ...... so again why not save on the shipping and bulid co$t and just have your white one resprayed- best wishes Sal</p>

Hey Sal
How is your new bird coming along. To answer your question is this. The old one (2nd bird I got) was and still is great. I sold it because there were a few things I did not like on it. First I was still set up on the older thinner style mains. Yes if you land to hard it would bend them. Two in my rush to get her ready for Monster Planes in 09 I rushed a few of the details and I have not so happy with it for a while now. I did not want to repaint the bird I had because it would have been a complete paint job redo. I tried to match up Tommy's paint on my first one it was close but no cigar. Plus I would have had to do alot of sanding to get the N# down as well as the AU on the tail. Plus my 2nd bird was kind of a mash of the 1st and 2nd plane as I only ordered parts then later other parts to refit the 1st plane. Having said that all of Tommy's planes are custom built (replacement parts do not match up 100%) so I did have one or two fitting issues I was not happy with. I saw them no one else sees them.

Now you say the flaps are different how? Please post up a pic. My 1st bird had the old style flaps then my 2nd one had the newer smoother sliding flaps units. I hope he has not changed them again. An yes I found just as you to much down thurst in the motor mount. I just shimmed it on the fire wall. I am not to worried about building the plane got it down pretty good from having done 2 now.

Back to the flaps again if I remember correct DJ's old plane had the old style clear housing flap parts. They did not work correct any way. The flaps did not slide well and they would not deploy all the way. What color are your housings?

Also as for my new plane I am doing so custom work for Tommy and I send him some things to him from time to time when he ask or needs them. So he has always treated me well. And I like his work. Hope that answers your question.
George

You have got lots of down thrust my friend. I dont think I had that much but it was a good bit. I took some washers to the back of the motor mount and shimmed it from there. I sent Tommy an email after looking at your flaps and asked him to do mine in the old style. Thanks for the heads up.

Style fly, on the first set of pictures you posted, the first picture I noticed a crack in the part that connects to top of wing. Mine too has cracked in same spot. Any way of fixing this? Not sure if I should epoxy the crack or use something else?

Im not sure were the crack is , Mario will have to show me????? here are some more shots of the new engine mount with down thrust- i tried to get the old one and Tommy does not make it anymore(unless you pay him to make it custom) the new one does not work with the DA 150 well unless you modify it.also i was told by Tommy the first style flaps are no longer available ...... here are some more photos

Hey sal I will show the crack in boths wing next time we get together I will bring the wing to headquarter , so I see you not satisfied with the new engine mount and I agree with you , but this is not a problem let talk to Raul and I am sure he wil make the same engine mount that I have in my cessna , if Raul make the landing gear for Lucas mig 29 ,will be more easy for him to make a motor mount exactly like my cessna , so don't worry sal your are not alone best regard Mario

here is how we took out the down dergree's in the enging mount-(oak wedges) i have the help of a expert builder (thank you Kevin) teaching me the right way to build this plane- the throttle servo is on -as well as the ignition module- we made a plate for the module cover that goes on top of the mount.... the whole engine mount is self contained meaning that it can come off the firewall with just 4 screws and back on..(just have to disconnect fuel lines)
