If the plywood is still straight in that kit then that is a <u>great deal.</u><div>Balsa wood is pretty easy to replace if needed, and I believe all the templates for the balsa are on the plans, and staining is no problem, you wouldn't see it anyway when the plan is flying :-)</div><div>

P Man, I had the H9 Ultra but never could make great maneuvers, I had a Saito 72, I have noted that you bolted aSuper Tigre, which is a great engine. I lost mine doing a roll, the front former where the wing dowels are attached failed, the wing went away and the fuse meet earth almost immediately. Take a regular inspection on this front former to prevent the failure.
I really like the Blue Angels performance, I have seen them in the Amigo Air Show for several years now, even that they are not here every year, they are always a plus when have performed here in El Paso. I didn't know how they prepare the show and it it's really interesting, have great flights take good care of you and keep pleasing us with those daring maneuvers. Finally, enjoy this brotherhood, it's great to have you here.

Alright people! I have recently gotten ahold of a carl goldberg ultimate, and it has the wire landing gear on it, how hard would it be to Change the wire gear out for some nice carbon fiber land gear that I have laying around?

It's not that difficult. But you will need to tie in the landing gear mount to the fuse sides. The mount area is so small that it will rip out easily. I used some aluminum L s to help, and of course nylon bolts to hold the gear in.

I think I would leave the old stock wire landing gear on. Mine have held up well. If you ever land hard, you just take them off, rebend back into shape, and screw em back on...good to go. Very forgiving without being wimpy also. Build the the pant legs per the stock set up if you want more presence. And put the wheel pants back on too, haha. You have a good looking Ultimate! Jon

I do too use three original wire landing gear and as Jon said, it's so forgiving. I have a 50 size kyosho pitts with a saito 72, the plane is well balanced but a bit heavy than supposed to be using a two stroke engine, the landing gear is aluminum and I have to rebend very often

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.
I'm now off the CG Ultimate list, had a shed fire that destroyed my dads and my entire RC fleet and associated gear, six helis and 40 planes plus so much other gear like my surfboard collection, car, camper trailer and a bunch of irreplacable antiques. Devastated is an understatement, however we saved the house and we are all in good health apart from me burning my feet and some mild smoke inhalation. Andthe biggest thanks goes out to the local volunteer fire fighters, they're f%#king awesome.
I'll continue to admire what you fellas have going here, good luck and safe journeies to all.

I'll take that next number! Kit built CG Bluehawk in Spain.... How can I upload a photo?<div></div><div>120 4 stroke glow, original dark blue with yellow trim, flies like a dream! Going to replace the wire uc with a cf set as it keeps collapsing even on the most gentle of landings..

We got the motor on, cut the firewall back 3/4" instead of drilling out the hole in the firewall. Carb fits perfect. CG worked well with 2 servos in the rear. Weight come in at 7 pounds, 2 onces so far with motor on Including muffler and electronic ignition. Laid in two servos and receiver also.Just need covering. Hopefully we will make the 8# and under class!

RE: Carl Goldberg Ultimate 10-300 Brotherhood.
I haven't tried setting it up for 3d. My E set up has more than enough power for it. But just from my personal "feel" I'd say it's more of a scale type flier.
