No where I can find it's been discontinued.
It looks like it's on backorder...Tower shows early September back in stock...however I wouldn't count on that being right.

Just a question.  Ive got a HPI NITRO RS4.   What parts will work on the new Flux?  Wheels are the same size right?  will any of my anodized parts work or are they different?

i know i saw it mentioned a few times, but never really saw an answer.  I have a 2s 5000 mah lipo and it barely fits.  the belt seems to rub on the battery a little.  Is this ok?  or is there a way to prevent it?

Sweet! Congrats! These are crazy fast! Careful of running RC's barefoot! My DF03RA tore my big toe nail clean off!

I run a smaller 2s Lipo 2200mah because my 5000mah will not fit. You belt is going to wear through the lipo or the rubbing will break your belt and both would be bad.

That stinks but Grim is right....if the belt breaks through that lipo the result could be a disaster.

Could result in a literal meltdown of your shiny new camaro.

Here's a pic of mine....Turnigy 5000 20-30C Softcase. You must have a hardcase or a monster c rating...

Here's a couple of my battery...

I think I may have fixed it though.. I bought a piece of aluminum rod, and placed it between 2 screws from the motor mount. It raised it just enough that it doesn't rub the battery

yea, that's it....you have a hardcase battery....that's why it is snug. I have a hardcase 5000 battery too...it just doesn't work.

Your idea about the rod is good...trouble is...you'll kill the belt pretty quick with it rubbing on the rod. BUT if you somehow incorporated another belt tensioner pully or 2 flanged bearings in with your rod that the belt could ride on....you'd have the jackpot.

Post some pics when you've got it all figured out....

I doubt that it will hurt the belt that much... considering Both belts rub on the motor straight out of the box... I figure ill leave it for the time being. Weel see how fast i burn through a belt, or if i notice any visible wear on it. If it burns it up quick them ill modify a little more.

How long do these belts last generally speaking? never had a belt driven car before...

Yea, cool....

Depends on your driving conditions....

If you drive in parking lots with little loose pebbles....they could get chewed up pretty quick. Especially, the rear belt....as pebbles tend to lodge themselves between the belt and the rear diff housing. The front belt should last a little longer...

Ive seen new belts get destroyed in seconds because of the pebble-deal....

I have been looking at possibly getting another on-road car and was just curious as to how well do the belts hold up to driving them on pavement and such.

Hey Dragon....here's what I posted above...

If you run it in the parking lot where you bash your XS....you should be fine. :0

Many have modded the back diff cover to help with the issue...

I run my car in the warehouse here at work and in the parking lot...both have been lasted months...and I run it every weekday. It's my lunchtime de-stress activity...

So I would need to cut the rear bulkhead and ope it so that the peebles and such don't get lodged in there.
