Ok. So I had posted a question on another site, response was his plane at 30lbs running a Zen G-62 which is only 3.8ci. Was the concern over rpm's produced? That's the difference I see comparing motors. I'm still learning how to match motor to frames besides using designer specs and wonder what your thoughts were on the iffy flying.
Thanks,
John

John, I have a 7-70 on a 91 inch corsair but it weighs a ridiculous 20.5 pounds. The performance is excellent even with a less than optimal prop. So I asked about the performance of a corsair that is slightly smaller yet weighs over 30 pounds. People really like the combo so the performance should be good with your P47. The concern is the amount of power. I am saying my concern might be unfounded due to other peoples satisfaction. A red flag in my head does not mean I am right! The real corsair and p47 had the same engine with similar performances at level flight at the same manifold pressure. Christiantofastforyou, could you comment on your planes performance? -Tom

Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I am just starting to learn about giant scale and all that goes into it. If the 7-77 wan't going to fit the build I was going to fall back on Saito. I see the 3 blade recommended prop is 22x10, is this what you run?

Regarding performance, I would say is just enough. You can see here a "sample": http://youtu.be/n4iXbgbv6Lw
The only problem I have is cooling, no room for baffles, so I decide to go with Saito 84R3 and get also an extra HP. The EVO 7-77 will go on a Sterman 87".

Hello, I just received my 7-35 and would like to put an A-Style Spinner on it like Maxam has on his Corsair. Can someone please tell me what I need to purchase and where? Also, does anyone have any info on a Corsair ARF that the 7-35 can handle?
Thanks to all for the great info on this forum. I'm so glad I found it.

Thanks Tom. I will shoot an email off to True-Turn and see what they have. I will research the thread size and confirm if it is 8x1 mm. I've been looking for a Corsair for the 7-35 but have had no luck. I should have also bought the 777 when I had the chance to buy it with 15% off at Horizon during black Friday. Again, thanks for the help. - GaryMac

I just got off the phone with True-Turn and ordered the hub. I think I'm going to mount the 7-35 on my Great Planes Giant Stik and buy the 777 and put it on a Hanger 9 Corsair. Sadly, I was unable to find a Corsair for the 7-35.
Thanks for all your help.- Gary

Has anyone ever done business with this company?

They have this engine for sale for an ungodly low price. I have not checked their shipping cost yet
but would like to know if anyone has done business with them.

I would not order from them. Seems too good to be true. They only accept Western Union or Wire Transfer for payment and they are in China.

Warranties are just a piece of paper. I have been in this grand hobby for over 50 years and not once had a warranty claim.
Hundreds of engines, radios, and kits. The only claim I ever filed was with UPS because my item was broken before I even
received it. If it's an inexpensive item it will most usually be repaired or replaced. If it is an expensive item the manufacturer
will claim the user to be at fault for some reason or at minimum you will not see your warranty repaired item for 3-6 months.
I have purchased 3 new DLE engines in the last 2 years and the very first thing I do is void the warranty by removing the factory
rings and installing Bowman rings. The new rings are worth voiding the warranty to have a better running engine. I would rather
buy parts and do the repairs myself anyways.
P.S..........Everything comes from China whether you buy from a USA distributor or direct.
Yeh.....I don't like their payment options. My question is.......how does the item double in price between China
and Horizon Hobby when the engines are made in India/Indonesia ?? Therein lies your "warranty".

There was a website like this a few years back. Key is the payment terms, ie non-recourse payment. They don't have any stock - they'll just take your money, and good luck trying to get it back. That's how they can offer things for half price!

There was a fellow a few years back that had ordered all kings of stuff, something like a $13,000 order, and he had many conversations with the "company", even mentioned several individuals with whom he had spoken. In the end he couldn't get them to accept any form a payment that would provide him some protection, so he passed.
Just a word to the wise. I've had people sell me things and disappear once payment was made. Especially around the holidays, for some reason that brings out the scammers. The few percent a service like PayPal charges is well worth the piece of mind - in each instance they refunded my entire payment.
