EDIT
sorry i was reqading page 43 :P delete this if you please
the tt-01d has extra upgrades, . It comes with short springs/dampers, drift tires, FULL BALL BEARINGS, motor heasink, sport motor and "special suspension tunings".
All you need is a driveshaft, metal motor mount.

Sorry to sound dumb but what about the... erm... ingredients! Lol! 60/40% tin/lead rosin flux core or 96/4% tin/silver rosin core? Both are radioshack branded.

I doubt it's the solder...
It is probably just your iron not being hot enough, or user error. No offence, but it could be.
Make sure you have a 40watt OR NOT soldering iron to do deans plugs.
I use an el-cheap-o 80watt and it does nicely.

will a 21 61 fit? i want to get the corect gearing for loose dirt/sand with my p2k copperhead pro motor.
anny suggestions for the gears, i want long run times (35-50 mins) with my Epic 6-Cell 3000mAh NiMH Sport-pack and i want kickin sand flickin power to keep me from getting stuck. I dont want to under gear, and definatley not OVERLY FAST. i have the stock esc

Guys, dont mean to be so persistant, but I really don't want to blow up the motor or ESC the first time I pull the trigger... Can any one tell me how many cells the motor and ESC are rated for on this version

I doubt that esc has very low limits. It looks kind of like a knock-off el cheapo. I would Message they guy and hopefully he knows something about what he is selling. I seriously doubt you can run 3 cells like you wanted on that...

Sweet thanks guys. I just went ahead and bought a Mamba Max combo. I guess I will try to run the stock motor on the Mamba ESC and 3S first. I really don't want insaine speed out of the box. Thanks guys. I'll let you know how this new TT-01 owner likes it! Kinda wierd that kit comes w/ a knock off ESC though don't ya think.

It isn't a knock off....
That is the tamiya ESC + reciever combo that the RTR's come with.
Honestly, you will not enjoy the TT-01 with all that power. If you want to go that fast try another chassis.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I thought it came with some other esc than the tamiya since it says "cpr speed controller" or something like that. I guess it is just the TEU-101 BK? Sorry to confuse you.

My guess is that you are 100% right about that. But Like I said I can alway just throw in a brushed or something to slow her down and such. I'll play with it and get it to feeling right. I have a couple of low Kv B/L I can try also and well if it becomes too much to handle I can just go back stock. I'll keep you informed on how shes doing.

More in the future don't you worry.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
Guys I'm wondering if any of you know where I could order some replacement body posts from? I cut mine a little too low and I'm limited to what rims and tires I can put on now. I've looked around and I've found that I can order the entire B parts kit but I'd prefer to get just the posts if possible.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
LHS has very little stock so I came home and hit the Hong Kong stores.
TOBEE alloy drive shaft.
Ball bearings.
Pinion gears (20/21t)
Spurs (55/58t)
Alloy Servo Mount
Motor Heatsink / fan
Alloy hex's
Should be good, more to come don't you worry

If you want to talk like that don't post in here.
I honestly don't get you rcluke. You just bag the TT-01's. If you don't like them, well then good fro you, keep that opinion to your self.
Die in a fire? Bit harsh, but rack off.
