Eric- Be a little careful with the language, the mods gave us a friendly reminder last week about it. When's the next video coming BTW?!

Jim
Thanks, I'll edit it out. *whew*.

I am working on the next one right now, actually, fixing up some of the lighting so I can get good closeups of transmitters. Binding and Gagging with your Programmable Transmitter!

Will these tools work? I bought the prop balance years ago to balance the wheels on my 1/8 buggies I race. that is why I have a wheel hub on it but comes off no problem.

They will work, except the blue clashes with the orange a little bit. COLOR COORDINATION SAVES LIVES... Except when it doesn't. Looks good to me!

The reason I got that pitch gauge is it has a level bubble built in. Hard to find a pitch gauge with one built in. Reading the book I got says it makes things a lot easier and even tells you how to put one on yours if it does not have it. I am a tool person and believe in having the correct tool for the job. I have tools I bought for working on motorcycles I have only used on time but it was need to do the job properly. Between hand tools, special tools and so on I have WELL over $100,000 in them and this is not counting my percussion measuring interments or machines.

Jeff / 46u,

When using your bubble level pitch gauge, you have to make sure that the table your using is absolutely level too.

Hi Guys,

Just been playing with the EXI heli and Futaba thingie. (Not done yet). But, thought I'd let ya know, that things are going great.. This Futaba 7C is awesome.
I'm in a test mode right now on the TX and stuff. But all looks great. Only thing I ran across was that the Throttle progam thingie had to be reverse. Not a big deal there, ya know.

Jeepers,

Dave

Thanks for making sure but the book tells you to make sure your tail boom is level and if need put shims under the skids till it is. I would all so think not only level front to rear but left to right as well. Thanks for all the input guys as I can use all the help I can.

I plugged in all the servos to make sure that everything was working okay... And it is. So, now it's just getting the servo arms at 90 degrees and A LOT of programming.
The Futaba system is the nuts, it Binds / Links with the RX almost immediately. In the blink of an eye. (Links is a term that they use.)

Dave

46U,

Sorry, I missed your earlier post on the pitch gauge. Just been busy.

You can say what you want about Spektrum but I have John Adams at Horizon Hobbies sending me the parts to fix my trim buttons for FREE. He offered for me to send in to fix it for free but all so offered to just send me the parts!!!!!!!!!! I all ready ordered the alloy ones but you never can have to many parts so I told him to please send me the parts. I have found in some situations better to go to the top and not deal with the peons.

Horizon's customer service is unbeatable for sure. Many people have had nothing but god things to say about it. Glad you are getting your parts.

Looks like a break coming up in the weather, it may hit 40 on Thursday! Think I may try to maiden the Bf-109 in the AM. I took the landing gear off as there is too uch snow on the soccer fields for it. Loks like a hand launch is in order[X(]

Jim,

If the wind is down for you tomorrow, go for the gold and have a ball. Me right now, NOTHING to fly. Still puttering with the new Futaba 7C and EXI 450SE. No hurry for me, I'm retired. Really, laughing out loud. And a big smile on my face. And the weather isn't cooperating at all.

Dave

Have fun with the maiden Jim! We're supposed to get a two day warm up here ourselves. I might try to throw up a heli or two.

Blessings,

Jay

If I had mid 50's, it would be an instant FLOOD because of all the snow. I did fly outside today, it was a little cool and supposed to be pushing mid 30's tomorrow, maybe 40 by Thur.

A dusting is right! Maybe some of our drifts, which are reaching over some rooftops, will melt this week... Of course mornings are going to be cold and icy, and afternoons wet and dirty for quite some time...

Well, here's another part... model memory, binding, and my ugly mug!

Erick,

Yet another excellent video on TX binding. Your explanation and demos were terrific. You've missed you calling.
