I am curious to see what the inverted running is like so i can determine if i have to mount an on-board glow or not...
Hi Mike, If you got your engine tune right, you won't need a on borad glow, I'm useing a satio 150 inverted, in my Rascall 110
Never have any problom with engine, I fly alot around 1/2 to maybe just under 1/2 thor.

Shawn,
You use a remote glow setup when the cowling gets in the way of attaching an external glow source.

Tom:
I don't see the line in the pictures here, but as a guess you're seeing the slots to allow the nut to lock on the thread of the crank. The end of the nut is tapered, it seats in a matching cone on the face of the washer. As the nut is tightened it is squeezed to lock the asssembly. See attached pictures.
Bill.

Hello; Your results on the paint job have encouraged me to paint an engine or two, that black green with the chrome rocker covers topping it all off, looks very nice. Cummins green, detriot green, ford blue, what will it be? How about painting it to match the plane? I like the "trademark" thing when a fellow (we all know who) returns an engine painted after repairs. Great imagination fodder.

Hello; When I think of all the beautiful engines I have seen, I think the prettiest have been bare (shiny) metal, I'm think ing Ducati shaft driven ohc V tewins, or a Norton commando, or my Laser 100, even my BMW flat twin. Maybe just a touch of colour somewhere. The black barrel is nice Bill, I painted the barrels on my Kawasaki Mach 3 in '70, a few years later, every body did it.

I think this is pretty. A black engine with polished aluminum highlights.
You mentioned your CowSucky. Look at the third picture and drool. Picture taken in Winston-Salem, NC. Rode it there, showed it, rode it home.
Bill.

Dennis: That prop is a hand made Asano Powermaster prop. All I know is that they were made by this Asano fellow for the old Tournament of Champions contest planes back when. It has, if I count them correctly, 18 laminations. I do not know where you can find any others.

Do you really think 24 hours of soaking will remove all the discoloration, and let us see the beautiful bare metal again?
Haw.
