Matched cells give way more punch, and the cells I buy will be the highest voltage a company offers.

Also, I'm going to race with them....
True they give you a better punch, I am not sure by way more. There were three world records broken this past weekend in Valdosta GA. and all were on off the shelf packs. There were 7 packs that had all cells venting the first day. It just so hapended they were matched packes. Not that, thats what caused us to loose them, it just turned out that way so we finished the weekend on unmatched cells. On the other hand, talking to one of my friends who races these 1/10 scale cars, he says that it is reffered to as "battery wars". So , like I said I know nothing about cars, only high amp, high voltage, high adrinaline electronics. Sweet

What makes the matched packs so much better is that every cell is good, but where as in a normal pack with no rating you don't know what each cell is like, you could have duds in there.

toyeast? Never heard of em.

Yup!!! Should have ordered from tower!!!
I've gotten mixed reviews from others. Some people don't have a problem with their service, and other hate them. They seemed to have the best deal (even with $36 shipping!) and seemed to be legit, so i ordered it.
$36 for shipping?!?!?! You could have ordered from tower with 2nd day air for only $28 shipping!!!
Total was only $104, which is pretty good for a prepainted and pretrimmed TT-01 with an ESC. Tower sells the same thing for $104 before tax and shipping.
yeah, but you also get it faster from tower![X(] Oh, well. You get what you paid for. Just have to be patient i guess eH?
Yeah, i'm trying not to think about it.
And anyways, i can't complain. I'm getting batteries, a charger and controller and the electronics from a friend anyways (spiftacu1ar over here) so i'm saving a lot of money.

Not really, a matched pack is one were you take a bunch of cells and charge/discharge them several times. You take the ones that are the colsest in voltage/discharge rate and make a pack out of those. Matching cells is an art. It take a LOT of time and effort and it is really an art. Thats the reason they cost $$$$$. It is also a huge pain in the *****. don't think I have ever had a pack with a dud in it, but then again I havent bought many premade packs.

got my Escort Cossie TT01 today, great service from Bolton Model Mart (kit £49.99 + free delivery, UK), looking forward to building it, its looks amazing on the box. might order some hop ups while i'm on the net!

http://www.lstshop.co.uk/catalog/pro...roducts_id/427

the Tamiya model range is limited, but the price is unbeatable

ordered: bearings, oil shocks, alu prop shaft, metal motor mount and the alu steering link, would have been £78 ($130) in UK, £42 ($70) from Hong Kong, bargain!

They're refunding the money instead. I"m just going to go to tower and order it there probably.

Painting's not bad, but i don't want to trim. Trimming the wheel wells seems too hard and i don't have Lexan Scissors.
