Well I took off on a road trip to Crooksville Tennessee last Thursday. Left at 5AM got there at noon. Got to meet Greg and pick up my glass fuse. It is awesome. Talked to Greg a while, what a great guy. BIG THANK YOU to Greg for such a great job.

Just want to give all a heads up, G & L Hobbies is no linger producing parts for the Bud Nosen
Cessna 310.Greg has informed me that he no longer has the time to run the business as he has
done in the past, since taking over the grocery business his parents retired from. So no more of
those wonderful fiberglass fuselages he was famous for. However he has the business up for sale
and maybe in the near or distant future someone will again offer his products. For those that still
want the fiberglass wing tanks and either the standard or extended cowls, Fiberglass Specialties
is offering them for sale. Fiberglass Specialties Inc Catalog
Here's hoping one in all have a very good Thanksgiving.....

Bud Nosen 310 short kit on EBAY if anyone is interested. I just bought one of the two he had for sale. Can't wait to start building. Was wondering if anyone had a balsa parts list to create an order. Thanks!

Have not posted for a while but when on a roll you forget. I have a lot of work done and several pictures to post. I am installing Electron retracts, full lighting system includes all strobes, cleance, landing and taxi lights. Also installing flaps. Installed carbon fiber wing and stab tubes to be removable. The fuse is probably I guess the last that G&L Hobbies will be making. So here we go with a lot of pictures.

I have a question about my fiberglass fuselage. I'm currently working on the tail section, mainly the vertical stab. I have noticed that it does not point straight forward along the top line of the fuselage. Is this a built-in angle for engine thrust, or is this a twist in the fiberglass that I need to work out?

Well gang I have a few announcements to make inn this post...........
First of please welcome a new member to our flock of 310 lovers: "shotgunblast", Bryan Miller from Dallas, Tx. Member # 78
Secondly it is with sadness I have to inform you all that Greg from G & L Hobbies is no longer producing glass parts for the 310
or anything else he had on his web site and the business is up for sale as a whole entity..........
Thirdly, I have to inform all of you that I will no longer be monitoring this thread but I will leave it open for anyone wanting to post
pictures of their builds and for anyone wanting to communicate with anyone still actively building and flying the Bud Nosen Cessna 310.
The reason being I am currently going through some severe health problems, not Covid related, but last month I had to have 2 surgeries,
one to remove a cancerous cyst from my vocal cords which was discovered after I list my voice in January of 2021, on that front I won't
have to have Chemo or radiation. The second operation was biopsy on my right lung which determined I have a condition known as
Usual Interstitial Pneumonia, basically it is a hardening of the lung walls and there is no cure for it, I will have to be on oxygen and
an inhaler for the rest of my life, however long that will be. So my modeling activities are at a standstill and I will probably never be
able to fly model aircraft again or build any for that matter as fumes from super glue and other chemicals we use will only make life
miserable for me.

310 kits still out there, hopefully they will all someday see air under their wings,,,,,,,,,,,,,
BTW while it is still in my mind, Fiberglass Specialties has engine cowls and the tip tanks moldings for the Bud Nosen Cessna 310.

Well Nosen 310 fans...
The time has come that my 310 will not see completion by me. I no longer have the time to dedicate to this one airplane, so I have decided to let someone else finish it.
Here is what I have:I have The wing framed and mostly sheeted. The fuselage is framed. I also have all of the g&l fiberglass parts, including fuselage, nacelles and tip tanks. It also has landing lights and a complete set of Likes line electric landing gear. I have posted some photos earlier in this thread.
Photos are available upon request. This will be pick up only in Tennessee as these parts are way too big to ship.
$1K firm for everything. Will not separate, so please don't ask.

I used 2 deg down on both engines with 0 deg right thrust on the left engine and 2 deg right thrust on the right engine. This works well for me on the 310 as well as on my DC3/C47 airframe ( Thank you, Nick Ziroli, for the tips on twins from many years ago )

Sorry to hear about your health problems Bill, I wish you the best going forward. Thank you for your work on this thread over the years.
I’m set to retire this coming July, so I hope to have the time after that to finish my 310.
