Yes, as long as they're all 540 size motors...

245 Euros seems to be a bit much but what kind of controller and Rx are you getting with it? 540 is motor size, and a bunch of different companies make motors in that size, like Integy, Trinity, Associated, etc.... and you can also get brushless like Mamba or Novak systems. Make sure your ESC will handle it or else it'll get fried.

That's only $125 USD, comes prepainted, and building only takes about 1 hour and is very easy to build.
A nice 2 channel radio, reciever and servo will cost maybe about $100 USD, total about $250 with shipping, etc. It's a lot cheaper than $325 USD (245 Euros).

I used onlineconversion.com to convert the prices. Just order from Tower, they ship anywhere.

I'm dreaming about warmer weather so I can revive parking lot racing with my brothers. I made the mistake of taking our racing tradition a little too deep into the winter this year and my cars paid a price. It's amazing how much of an impact the weather can have on the durability of these plastic parts! I said that MY cars paid a price because none of my four brothers own their own R/C's, so I am responsible for providing and maintaining the entertainment. I have accumulated four TT-01's and I just love them! Anyhow, I decided that today was the day to piece them back together and get them ready for some more racing/bashing. I also decided that they needed some fresh paint so I just put another coat on them. The paint jobs look so wacky because the new paint only showed up where the old paint had chipped away.

Please take a moment to honor these warriors and the services they faithfully provide.

Do you know my Savior? If not, it would be nice to refrain from taking His name in vain, seriously. The Creator of the Universe deserves a little more respect than that.

I do, however, understand your frustration with the caps lock.

Haha sorry about the using his name in vein.

Going to a Baptist College I should be more carful, but being an athesist (sp?) I don't really mind, sorry if it offended you though.

I'm not sure how it is in the US, but where I live people don't really mind about using that language.

bIGmiK:

In Australia do you run a stock TT-01 class for racing. There is a track here in the US that have been to that does and it is the best racing I have ever seen - Silver can and all. The reason I ask is 2 years ago I was talking to someone from Australia about the TT-01 and he said that they did stock TT-01 racing. I foo-foo'd the idea and thought how lame. Couple on months later my brother and I were racing(my tt-01 vs his tc4) at a track and he liked what he saw. Then I told him the price and then he had to have one. Showed some guys at his track and then they all had one.

The great thing is that you can get into RC for less than 200 with a crappy pack and charger and race. No hopups are allowed other than bearings so kids aren't going broke trying to keep up.

You guys have great ideas down there - keep them up.

I did some WOT launches from a puddle today. I thought the ESC was dead because about 1 minute later the battery started dumping because i haven't charged it in two weeks. That scared me.
Oh, and my wiring job is quite good i think. Water didn't reach the ESC or reciever at all because they're pretty high. Servo, motor and batter got soaked though but i wrapped the battery in saran wrap and that helped a lot.

My local track use to, but no longer do.

The more common thing is for onroad tracks to run a stock, mod and a 540 class. The 540 class is limited to Tamiya Silver cans or Sports tuned. Quite simular, and only being slower motors the TT-01's can beat the better cars. Also, not all cars can run the tamiya motors, and these are genreally the high class cars that cant.

Hey guys I think im going to get a tt-01 and I was wondoring if this would be a good choice http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHWN0&P=7 I have a radio, receiver and 2 servos already so it seems like a heck of a deal. One other question too why does an electric car need 2 servos?

Edit: O and also I have been told these upgrades are worth having especially if I want to drift it

Yes, those are good upgrades... Electric cars need 1 servo and an ESC, not two servos like nitros.

I concur on the slower stuff. If the speed is not that high - like stock - I found that my TT-01 is quite racey. Not that it is going to win, but I didn't go broke building the car. Also the TT-01 is a great match for the silver can.
