Haha sorry about the using his name in vein.
Going to a Baptist College I should be more carful, but being an athesist (sp?) I don't really mind, sorry if it offended you though.
I'm not sure how it is in the US, but where I live people don't really mind about using that language.

I'm all about stock racing with my TT-01's that my brothers and I race. I put some 17T's in them for a little while and it just wasn't the same. I definitely agree that the TT-01 is a perfect match for the silver can!

never really liked teh silver can. Its just too slow for me. My friends used it to learn since they're new but they it was too slow even for them. The extra speed makes the race much more fun. I say the motor you use is dependent on your skill.

Well, our "race track" is the library parking lot and includes such obstacles as a concrete pole, a metal bike rack and a side walk. The goal is to go around the pole, up a ramp onto the sidewalk and around the bike rack, but often times the cars slam into any of those three objects that do not move...AT ALL. I guess what I'm saying is that for our track, slower is definitely better. The penalty for failure with a faster car on our course is just too great.

Yes, those are good upgrades... Electric cars need 1 servo and an ESC, not two servos like nitros.

I stuck my 4600 mamba and 3s2p lipo in my tt-01 and it ran OK. But whenever I hit the throttle too far it would start sliding and then flip. Then I broke a dogbone.

I'm quite new to racing and have a TT-01. recently upgraded to a 21T modified motor which is running fine (& quick) using the standard TEU-101BK. I'm told I should upgrade this too! Anyone have advice as to what I should use?

Guys today i had my first run with my new tt-01 silvia and i was dissapointed because that car is insanly S-L-O-W.What i can do to make it faster?I think that my choise between tt-01 and hpi sprint 2 wasn't good because i'll need money to make it fast .Such money as sprint 2 rtr costs.

there's a lot of adjustability with the Mamba, so if you set the power to ramp up slowly from start, you'll get minimum wheelspin and hopefully less drivetrain damage, in theory..

mine ran pretty well. did it for fun and it didn't damage anything. the aluminum center shaft is a must for motors lower than like 19T. the stock shaft really starts to bend and slap around if you run the faster motors

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread
I had my Mamba set at a punch for low traction stuff so it had accelerated slower, the motor timing at low, and the start power at low. I could still hit the throttle and the wheels would spin to where they are completely ballooned. Then I ended up tearing up my tires (no joke) and breaking the spur gear. That was after breaking a front drive shaft.

And even if my was faster, it'd still not look as nice and wouldn't handle as well either.
I wonder if i get any stickerz with the Trinity motor i will order someday...

Nice car patrick. I wanted all those hop-ups but then i want to race in TCS and only tamiya hop-ups are allowed.[:'(]
Im coming home to LA in a few weeks for spring break. we should get together with nubus and some of the others.
