Mine is in pieces. I found they don't fly very far, for very long when the engine quits just after takeoff. Stupid throttle arm screw loosened on the Gemini and when I reduced power after climbout, the throttle completely closed killing the engine. The front is smashed, but the rest is still intact. Wings will need to be opened to replace the tabs used to secure the struts. The Cabane is busted out, so basically everything forward of the cockpit needs to be rebuilt. It was the second flight of the day, and the engine was running great, but it was very windy.

peternj I sent you a pm to hopefully get these former tracings from you. I have a partial build fuse and the original owner wasn't the best builder if you know what I mean!
Thanks,
Jason

Does anyone have a pair of them that they will not be using? I will purchase them from you if need be. If not does anyone know where I can get such an item?

Thanks guys

But I do appreciate your effort and thank you for it....

I am keeping my email box as clear as I can in case you wish to try again.

Finally finished the Ultimate! I had it framed up a couple winters ago, but sat for the longest time in the bones. This past March I was motivated and got the covering done; the scheme was basically borrowed from an Aeroworks plane I saw online. In June it was nice enough outside to paint the cowl, wheel pants, cabanes, and landing gear. Used PPG Concept single-stage (there are recipes online to match Ultracote in this case, or Monokote). The dash was cut from 1/8" ABS plastic found on eBay; and purchased the gauge bezels from "i fly tailies". The rivet and switch detail are just small drops of fabric paint. The inside of the cockpit was sprayed with Krylon granite texture paint. It's powered with a Saito FG-21. Hope to maiden it later this week!

Fiberglass Specialties has them for $38.

Fiberglass Specialties Inc Catalog

I just ordered one a few months ago and they're really nice - one piece (no seam to finish), and minimal prep to paint.

I did as suggested but the 300 ultimate parts were all sold out or at least that is the way it looked to me....

But thank you for the great sugestion

Clifford

Any way , I am almost done with the Horizontal Stablizer....Just need to round the corneres and mark for the hinges and drill the pilot holes.

I got the Elevators almost done as well...just need to get the corner gussets in and the holes drilled for the hinges as well....

Thanks Jesus! Had some hours into that covering job, as well as the painted layers on cowl and wheel pants. Weather hasn't cooperated yet to fly (waiting for a nice sunny calm evening) but looking forward to it soon.

Be sure that keeping C.G. as on plans and limited control throws and you will enjoy a nice maiden.

Then you will have to care so as to enjoy your magnificent plane for as many years as possible.

Best Regards from Spain.

Default Cg ultimate build

Ok. I had last week off.of building because i got a spacewalker for.20.bucks and i wanted to see her fly. It.took all week to build.and repair.jer but she madiened last.sat.and she flew wonderful.

so now i am back on the ultimate. I got the first set of wings cut out and dry fitted. Now i am trying to figure out nust how to glue them up and keep them straight and true.
