I also have some other questions. Im looking for a new motor , i was thinking of the venom http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHUH9&P=7 15 turn motor . Is it any good for the TT-01. I was going to use it for the street and on occasion on some dirt roads. Or would the tamiya sport tuned motor be a better choice. I already have the heat sink and metal motor mount .

lol i'm running my TT-01 with a venom 13x2 motor, insane speeds with 21T pinion and standard spur

hi all.

ive been playing with my gearing and come to the conclusion that the TT-01 is limited. if you change the spur gear, the pinion gear has to be changed also. the problem is the way the motor is mounted you cant slide it to a side or move it around if needed. a big design flaw. i wanted to use the same pinion but go to a much smaller spur gear, but i could not get the motor to move enough so that the pinion will run properly on the spur. most cars like my T4 RC10 truck, you can slide the motor as needed. anyone else find this? options ?

i have one of thse motors and you get what you pay for,,, its ok for the money, but its slow and i was not happy with the torque. for a few more dollars you can get a much better motor.

the TT-01 does have limited gearing options, though i'm sure somebody has gotten round it.. maybe with a dremel?

i suppose you could make new holes to line the pinion up straight with the spur gear but id only try that on a metal engine mount not the standard plastics one.

pretty sure you can just grind some material away and make it an adjustable mount

Mindwreck, do you have pics of your 103 RX and F102? maybe post em in the lounge?

I did when i got them. They're lost in the millions of pages of the lounge. Not too sure the f102 is a f102. might be a different f103 chassis. i got it off eBay with just the chassis so i don't really know. I don't' have them here with me at the apartment so i can't get any new pics.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but going through 85 pages to find the answer is out of the question.

Is anyone here running the Tamiya ESC that comes with some of the TT01s? I just bought my brother a TT01 for his birthday, and was wondering if anyone knows the limits of that ESC?

you mean the teu - 101BK? it stated to only work with stock motors, but it is very underrated. I run mine used to run mine with 17x2 motor and it worked fine with no body until it started to heat up here in Cali.

I'd say 19Turns and up your should be safe. seen a Couple of people here on the forums torture it with dual motors even and they still hold up. they are strong little units.

The reason i ask is some have said venoms are good, some say its bad, and some say the sport tuned motor is good, ect ect. So im at a crossroads.

ive ran my 21d vemon on the standard tamiya esc for a few months now and no problems so far
I think there good for the price and cheap enough to replace too [8D]

One more thing, whats the higest the stock tamiya esc can handle, was it 21 T or 19T ? Im planning on buying a new motor, but dont want to change the esc.

[:@][:@] still havent recieved my spur/pinion sets yet ordered them last wednesday it said 3-5 days to deliver items,just rang the company now asked what was going on they said they out of stock of the tamiya spur sets [:@] [:@]
so i asked the guy why they havent sent the robinson pinions and tamiya set then,he asked didnt i want it all together lol
doh no the quicker i get some parts the quicker i can run the car!!!
there sending the pinion sets out today and have to wait for the spur sets to come in,really wish i used modelsport online now [][]
oh and the company was ANTICS...yeah i know lol

i was wondering if this was a good price for parts i ordered front and rear knuckles. top and bottom a arms fornt and rear. and a front gearbox cover with shock tower they cost me £48 plus postage or was i conned its for a tt-01 schnitzer bmw m3 sport already added carbon top cover and 10t motor with no limit esc kind of new at this thaks
