Its off the ground and didn't have the tires installed yet. I tested run it last night and its great with half charged battery. But why is it when I turn one wheel on my old TT-01xb, it rotates more freely compare to my tt-01d?

could be a few things. bearings, tighteness of the diff, grease on gears... anything attached to the wheels or axles can effect how freely they spin

Thanks.
Im going to check those later. What kind of grease should I put inside the diff, or I just leave it like it is right now. The car drifts fine, considering the diff is not too loose and "locked" a lil bit?

well if you drift and you like it, why change it? I have brushless power in mine and i like power sliding occasionally so my diffs are full of heavy grease.

£20 sounds expensive for a heatsink/fan, i know some people slate 3Racing, but for £3 you cant go wrong!

lots more manufacturers here..

3racing makes good quality hop-ups. my friend, aka "nubus", has one. worked really well until he flipped his car into rocks and banged up some of the fins on his fan. easy fix with a computer fan

rcmart is a great place to get one. cheap and plenty of selection! lots of tt-01 hop-ups too.

How good of a rally car would a TT-01 be? I'm looking for a touring car that I can drift and use on baseball diamonds and other stuff like that.

wow that is quite a lot to spend on a tt-01. how did you spend so much and which kit did you get? theres a tt-01 and a tt-01D version. i don't think i've spent more than 200 on mine yet. but then again i already have the batteires and radio stuff.

Anyways depending on your surface, oil shocks are a great upgrade. If you have teh tt-01 kit, get them they will help. I drive on bumby as asphalt and with the standard shocks the car uses to bob and hop around since it had nothign to dampen the bumbs. If you have the tt-01D kit, your car already has them.

best way to drift well is practice, practice, practice. not to hard, you should get the hang of it quickly with some good throttle control and sensitive steering

tt-01 is a good cheap car to convert to rally. requires longer shocks for more clearance a couple of easy cuts into the bottom bumper plates to allow for more suspension travel. You will also need to encase the innards of the car or seal the draintrain at least.

first time i ran my tt-01 was on baseball diamond. the clay and sand somehow got into the gearbox and missed the gears pretty bad. once i sealed it with silicone or something similar it drove pretty well.

some rally tires would help too

damn sweet focus RS keep us posted on the build. I want to see that body after the paint. 98AU is pretty nice price too. I paid around 110USD for mine, except mine included the finished fxx body.

I have one:

Run an MTroniks Genesis ESC and a Hacker C40 6T motor in it. Just use it for bashing and drifting around back of my house.
